The ones who do something just to make you smile.

They support you when you're feeling down, even when you try and push them away.

They don't need or want anything from you, they put no pressure on, they just want you to be happy.

And they know that you feel the same, do the same and want the same for them.

They're great.

people uve lost cant be replaced but u can find people that are just as good but don't look to replace people, look for people that will bring joy to your life xx

I wish I had really close friends and I'm jealous of those who have had friends since childhood.

I feel like I've only had surface level friends who I can talk and have banter with regularly but no one I can really talk to about personal stuff I'm going through. Although to be honest, a lot of that may be on me not being open and not wanting to burden them with my issues as I tend to keep a lot to myself...

I've got 2 friends from childhood. We've changed so much since then and are now completely different people to who we used to be. I'm so lucky with them that we formed a deep bond, but that was circumstantial more than anything else.

I know how you feel about not wanting to burden people. I feel that way. But I hope you'll find people, as I have, who don't need you to share and tell them your troubles. They just show their love and support anyway. It will encourage you to share just by their nature.

You can form deep connections with people virtually as well as in person sweetie xx

Thank you for this, it's actually encouraging that so many people on here have even been able to make such good friends without meeting before.

I think I just like being able to confide in someone with them listening and being there like you said. In the past, friends and family have tried to come up with solutions and while I appreciate them trying to help, it's sometimes nice just to say what you feel x
