Anyone here live in Essex ? Can you confirm if there has been no post this year. Im being told thus by somebody in Chelmsford .

I used to live in Essex. In the past few weeks, Xmas cards to and from friends in the county have got through ok, so obviously Royal Mail is working.

BBC have a report on the Royal Mail delays, https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-55591063 Royal Mail has identified, amongst many other postcode areas, Chelmsford (CM1 - CM3) postcode areas. Hope this helps xx

Royal Mail cannot physically cope with the amount of items being sent. My work is mainly mail order, we sent 8 bags of mail out on the 29th of December, still getting phone calls and emails asking where the orders are on the 12th January!! Yet stuff we sent at the end of last week, is getting through at about normal time.

It’s basically throw a double six on the dice to see if you going to get any post.

The postie’s that deliver and pick up from us, recon they are doing more now than they usually do at Christmas

I posted a small parcel December 22nd first class, it was delivered 11/1/21.

I posted a first class signed for letter on the same day, that still hasn't been delivered from Cheshire.
