I find it hard to imagine what life would be like there.

It feels like it be like a constant holiday at the coastal areas with the surfers etc, but also so isolated inland.

It's ironic that at a time of lockdowns and solitude that I would opt for more of the same.

That said I would also like a Roman style palace with lot's of sexual debauchery going on daily orgies and a fresh supply of sexual partners to have fun with daily.

Maybe on some Italian peninsular overlooking the med on a hillside, olive trees and year round sunshine.

Yeah it is windy. It is known as the Island of Wind, but the literal translation of fuerte ventura is strong fortune. Often mistaken for strong wind which would be Viento Fuerte, perhaps because wind in French is vent and in Corsican is Ventu.

However the strong fortune may be still a reference to the luck needed by sailors to navigate round the island safely due to the strong winds.

I love the island. It is the least developed of the main four islands and almost exclusively naturist on the beaches, except in the two main tourist centres. My favourite place on the planet is the lagoons at El Cotillo.

As soon as I get off the plane I relax and feel immediately at home there.

All of my beach pics on my profile are on Fuerteventura.
