Oh no! You've just given away the plot! Guess I'll just have to use the book for it's intended purpose - toilet paper

I found a download of it somewhere, and stuck it in my Kobi!

(steady now!)

Started to read the first few pages aloud with Playmate beside me in bed.... the writing struck me straight away as pretty damned awful... We couldn't continue. and found other things to do in bed.

Needless to say, the activities were NOT inspired by the writing!

I've read all 3, they are quite entertaining if very tame.

Certainly not literary works of genius!

They are no better or worse then most chick lit.

The writing style isn't great, almost teenagery

Well I think it's very well written, it's certainly a book that you can't put down because of it's clever writing style. The characters are very complex and interesting.

The sex scenes are repeptitive and quite tame, it uses quite 'nice' language for the sex scenes.

I'm rather fed up with all the hype about it being Mummy porn, I think it's more about the underlying love story ... and there really is a major love story there.

I would recommend it as a good easy to read unputdownable romance but it's not erotica and it's certainly not porn. But EL James doesn't claim that it is.

I think it seems like this because Ana is a niaive postgraduate virgin who has yet to find out who she is and it's written as her own narrative of the situation.

Why is it that both my beautician and my dentist have (separately) said they're too embarrassed to discuss these books with anyone, so what do I think of them!!!!

Neither of them knows about my swinging...

It started out as twilight fan fiction, which I've also read.

The main characters in both books are very very similar, twilight was aimed at teenagers.

toatlly agree...

poorly written mummy porn....

mind you it seems to work for them, my mate says his missus is all over him since she read the first one and he is loving it, but didnt do it for either of us... very tame by our standards..

I'm a few chapters in and haven't picked it up for days. Not gripped me at all, and really very boring.

Would rather be doing than reading about doing!

Badly written, boring, only read the first one, no interest whatsoever in reading the rest, totally dull, just a boring love story with a twist ie bdsm but a reminder of why I don't read fiction, never again will I listen to the media hype, just crap

closer than you think

as I mentioned on a similar post, these books are very easy to read, what I call a good holiday read.

To people who are in this lifestyle and have indulged in BDSM it is very tame but I think the average housewife (who the books are mostly read by)and are chained to the kitchen sink, will find them quite titillating.

Probably embarrassed about talking about them because they have had these fantasies when the old man is being romantic with a quick "roll on roll off" !!!

This is just my view and no offence to any housewives out there
