Does daily exposure to sexual content & discussion heighten your sexual desires or numb them?

I only speak for myself, but I feel that after 15+ years of being hyper sexual, I have become largely indifferent to sex and sexual imagery

Very little seems to excite or intrigue me these days

It could, of course, just be an age thing

I get what you’re saying. After years of the internet I reckon I’ve seen a lot of what’s on offer and am rarely surprised about what people get up to.

In a fab context, I don't get aroused by sexual content(such as pictures or chat)

I think that's probably a culmination of using the internet for a long while to meet people to potentially have sex with, so knowing that I'm gonna have to see the whites of their eyes first, and seeing the contents of some folks minds in relation to sex

I think to an extent I have become immune to it...and certainly don't get aroused by pictures or even videos on here, or even porn sites, in the way that I once would have done.

Can remember 22 years ago, when I first had the internet, just the thought of visiting a porn site was enough to cause the beginnings of physical arousal - nowadays it takes a lot more.

Bizarrely I do still get mentally stimulated and aroused by some images though and can appreciate them in other ways, or they set off a spark of imagination in my mind, even if physically they don't do a great deal.

Age probably plays a factor too of course, but don't think it's the sole reason.

Yes (and no!)

So having been in the scene for a while, images with sexual content have not numbed but perhaps desensitised my arousal/ excitement level a bit, true! It is like that first time in a club for example, when you really do not know where to look first and are excited like a kid in a sweetshop.

The NO part is about still finding erotic images very appealing. Perhaps that is why I am not a fan of cock and/or overtly pornographic images. What sets my pulse racing are pictures of a guy in a smart suit or in the shower with his back towards me... in short the images that allude to sexiness but are leaving a fair bit to my imagination.

Maybe us women are not so different from guys after all?

Maybe it is an age and experience thing, because I tend to agree with you. Although I'm not sure about the daily content part.

I've been lucky enough to have experienced many things over the 20+ years I've played. So it's more that I find the discussions and pictures etc a little blasé. In fact I find many of the discussions in the forum's a little naive and some quite silly, almost childish. I tend not to friend people unless we actually have conversations, many invites are from women just wanting their photos fab'd. Or maybe I'm just a cynic! Likewise with the hotlist. If I like someone I would message them!

I still like posting pictures and fabbing other peoples, I enjoy the messages I get and, at the moment, the lack of perceived pressure and the “calm” that has developed. I don’t think I am desensitised to anything, different things about different people turn me on, depending on how they portray themselves through their profile. Again, I'm not sure if age is a factor and I'm losing interest naturally, or if I'm switching off internally either because there's no real alternative / outlet at the moment or because my head space is currently my own worst enemy
