"Has anyone been to a Chiropractor before, I'm having my first cracking tomorrow, and I'd like to know peoples experiences good or bad. I have lower back issues due to a trapped nerve, somedays I can hardly walk." In my experience, chiropractic adjustment can work wonders and address not just the problematic joint but can re-align the whole skeletal structure. I have had it myself and I have worked with a chiropractor. A couple of considerations for you to think about: 1. You may need a number of treatments - do not be put off by that - as a rough rule of thumb, the longer you have had the problem, the longer it may take to adjust and sort out. So don't go once and give up because you may not be restored fully in one treatment. 2. They may suggest massage treatments in between (difficult at the moment in lockdown but very helpful as they address any soft tissue issues that are a result of the structural problem) 3. There are different schools of Chiropractice - I would suggest to go the a professional who is a member of the Chiropractic council. They are qualified to take (and interpret) x-rays if need be. 4. There are also McTimoney chiropractors who are if you like a "diluted form" of the original chiropractic school. I do not wish to upset anybody who has had successful treatment from them, but personally advise to go to the original BCC chiropractors. 5. Wrap up warm - muscles do not like the cold. Good luck and hope it puts you on the mend.

"Some people get positive outcomes so I don't want to be too negative but I am not a fan. There is a lot of talk of misalignment which is not the case on scans and realignment which would imply worrying instability. If you have a trapped nerve, get a scan and see a specialist with a degree. " Absolutely agree - to see a specialist with a degree which is what the BCC chiropractors are.
