I mean I think some expected incompetence?

But to say everyone, including the majority of voters who didn't vote for him, expected or deserved violent insurrection, is a bit unfair.

.....and that would be why they put in a process that stops that one person from taking control. He may cause short term mayhem but there are those who are stepping up to mitigate it by using that same democratic process that got the President elected in the first place.

That's America.

Errr pot... kettle...I think our current PM hits a few of those points - and being able to quote a few latin phrases might make you 'educated' but isnt really that useful for running a country.

You cannot blame everyone in the country for the actions of one political party or a subset of that.

I certainly won't take the blame for Boris, I've never voted Tory or anything supporting anything remotely Tory. I'm just a law abiding resident.

I never voted for him and he doesn't represent me.

Same as in the US. Many people are anti Trump and are horrified by his antics.
