I guess the thing is that 'massage skills' have become a sort of cheesy shorthand for the sort of dude who thinks of themselves as a sensual lover par excellence, whereas really a good massage is a little bit like being beaten up very slowly, which has its fans but is perhaps a little more niche.

I wholeheartedly loathe the idea of a creepy massage from a creepy random and avoid 'qualified masseurs' on here like the plague (sorry)

I also find any mention of baby oil repulsive.

A deep tissue massage from a qualified non-sleazy professional or a session from a chiropractor or something could be tolerated in a kind of 'ouch ouch but oh so good but not sexual in the slightest' kind of way.

A casual partner once offered me a massage and I recoiled.
