Petrichor smell. Walking home in the Summer rain.. getting my flowery swing dress, handmade by my Grandma..completely soaked. The smell of raw cake dough.. and when it's about to come out of the oven hitting powerfully your nostrils.

And aroma of violets I used to collect in a forest nearby then pop them into tiny shot glass upon returning home.

For me it would be my Dad as he came home from work.

His overalls were grease soaked and that industrial oil smell was mingled with the aroma of cooled swarf that flew from turned metals and adhered to his clothing. He wore a very expensive but worn out check t coat to keep warm and that smelled the same as it hung on the door in the kitchen.

As he bathed or washed in the sink the smell of carbolic as it wafted through other rooms on steamed air....... awww I want a block of carbolic.
