Absolutely not any bloody good at all.

Am I alone thinking this

If the PC gang at the beeb wanted a XX chromosome Doctor, why not draft in River Song, I'd watch with my cock in my hand while "her" has a bath.

It's pants isn't it. I think Jodie makes an excellent Doctor, she's awesome, stepped right into the role, but christ the writing has been shite since she took over.

Get some decent writers in, ditch the young couple and keep Bradley, he's been a revelation. Which I really didn't believe I would ever say.

Couldn’t agree more, the writing is dreadful. I think some of us could do better

".....I think Jodie makes an excellent Doctor,"

Couldn't disagree more. She's had long enough to bed into the role, but still is a poor lego disney Doctor.

PS. Peter Capaldi really should at some point told the Daleks to "kiss my sweaty balls"

Hahaha. Yes he should have.

So you don't think it's the terrible scripts and storylines that are letting the show down? I really like her. Each to their own.

Strongly agree with your River Song comment mind.

Surely River can’t be the Doctor as she was married to him and that is still to come?

I’m not a fan of having 3 assistants myself - it’s spread too thinly. Reducing it to 2 for the next series might improve things a bit.

Unsubstantiated rumours are going around that this will be JWs last series too

Yeah I'm quite a fan of her, enough madness in character to be good. But the kids style writing is hideous, no fright, very little build up and so much more possible. Each will have their own fave doctor naturally but scripting and story line is so important.

Ok , this is fantasy, but if we were to endure another female doctor.....

how about Mizz Weaver as Ripley, "get away from her you bitch" could go down well as an episode ending cliffhanger.

Plus the cock in hand factor.( is that right for Dr Who)

Tsch! Assistants! 'Fam'is the correct term.

Truly awful writing, wasted quality characters. Can it get any worse.

Until they get a writing team together you could cast Leonardo DiCaprio, Sam Rockwell, Meryl Streep or Idris Elba as the Doctor and the show would still suck.

Jodie's fine. She's been let down by some lacklustre scripts, as was Capaldi for most of his tenure (redeemed somewhat in his final season, sunglasses notwithstanding). Sadly, the writing is down to Chris Chibnall and they come as a pair. When Chibnall leaves, so will Whittaker, in all likelihood.

Agreed terrible scriptwriting and too many assistants. Just one is enough.

As for flying Daleks, that's crap. We all know when daleks first appeared they wobbled along their way on whatever and couldnt do stairs. But flying??? Nah. That's just science fiction1

The Beeb needs to get far better scriptwriters for Dr. Who, whoever they are now are just infantile.

Definitely. Plus on both of JW and PC tenures the 'three years thing' didn't mean three series..... for some reason the schedule was moved about. I really think that you could have your dream actors doing this last series and it would still be dire. If JW has decided to leave it would be a shame. I think it is the writing that is letting the show down

I was hopefully for the first female Dr Who but gave up after 4 episodes, the writing is appalling, gone back to the days of the 90s doctors

I think alot of the blame has to go to chris chibnall the chief writer for the show, he's already changed the origins of doctor who and created many plot holes with his idea of how the doctor came to be. Also most storylines in the past few series have been weak and far to political IMO

She's grown on me. The New Year's day episode left me deflated, I expected more. I was hoping Boris Johnson was going to step out of the door at the right moment too.

Jodie has confirmed her departure today...to leave after this series (not yet aired) Bradley has already left John Bishop confirmed as new companion. The writing has let her Dr down, Russell Davies was a great writer maybe he could come back?

I think she's a good doctor but they've held her back like they did with Eccleston. And the writing has been horrible. Next to no remembrance or hints of previous lifes unlike the others with side jokes about them. No one seems to remeber the Daleks or anything. And they've made it too political. Bring back the fun and drama. We have the news for politics.

The characters aren't likeable at all. Jodie Whitaker is no Doctor. Matt Smith was the last decent one & the companions are wooden to say the least. Bring back Pond & Clara I say.

Oh I dont know, for all his differences Capaldi was a great doctor, and I like you love matt Smith. I dont agree on bringing back Clara and Amy as I think they completed their time before they became a drag. Would love River to have her run as companion to visualise some of the things mentioned in the diary though x

The difference was both Amy & Clara were well rounded & likeable companions & there hasn't been a decent companion since. Capaldi suffered with the series where he was guarding Missy on earth in the university. I feel sorry for Whitaker as I know she can act but the stories & scripts she's had have been shockingly poor. It almost seems like the BBC are trying to kill it off again as they did in the Colin Baker/ McCoy era.

That and they were both hot as hell I agree there though. Capaldis last series was boring. Shame as I liked him and missy. Also had the strangest crush on her lol. Mr

I've loved all of them so far but my fave had been Matt Smith. He had the right balance of young and dumb, quirky, funny, then flip to authority and psyco. Was gutted when he left. The show keeps bringing out new versions of old bad guys then never using them. Matt smiths new Daleks.. where did they go lol then new ones on ny day all got destroyed lol. Love the new cybermen though. Like bad guy iron-man
