Drum & Bass fans ?

Coventry

Well new years eve was spent with my son who took over the play list for most of the night - which is vastly different to my normal listening.

Ive been messing about with running lasers to music and I have to admit we had an absolute brill night

My fave track was by someone called Macky Gee - Transition.

Being more familiar with rock im looking to expand my collection of this drum and bass.

Are there any fans on here that can point me to some artists similar to the transition track ? Not full of hyper fast drum beats, more bass and synth.

Any pointers mucho appreciated.

I'm more a rock fan but since I have had my teenage daughters music forced upon me in the car I have quite enjoyed d n b.

I find myself cranking up that volume to it when I'm out on my own

Couldn't tell you what it is though . I keep asking them to update it

Trad D&B isn't my thing, but after hearing an artist called Zardonic mix it up with metal, I'm pretty sold now.

YouTube for

Zardonic - Vulgar Display Of Bass Full Album

Zardonic - Takeover (Official Music Video) ft. The Qemists

Zardonic - Before The Dawn (ft Celldweller)

Tbh, he's done so many styles and mixes it's hard to keep up with him. Very creative artist and not afraid to cross boundaries. (Eg, Ska and D&B!)

Micky Finn, now he brings back many memories. Don’t know if anyone remember KAOS club in Barnstable, North Devon? The scene from Bristol would travel down every weekend to come to this club and a Micky Finn night always sticks in my mind.

And the classic question came about “excuse me mate,’got any Micky Finn’s? (Skins, rolling papers for anyone that may not understand))))
