The coldest Town on earth

It's in central siberia and is called Oymiakon,eylashes freeze and if it goes above -55° Celsius its a good day

Only 500 or so people live there

I've saw a programme years ago about that ridiculously freezing town in Siberia

I used to feel hard done by because I was born in England and not the Caribbean- but this gave me perspective

I experienced that temperature the winter 2009/2010 here near derby once early morning while at work I was outdoors in it for a matter of minutes a dangerous one really another area nearby in derbyshire Witnessed recording breaking temps of -14 we had Icicles between 3 and 4 feet long from pipe work outdoors in the factory I worked.

I quite like the cold though that is on another level! The coldest place I've been was when I on a farm in Finland in my 20s; it was -32c but dry and sunny.
