what you sow.

What goes around really does come back around.

So, if you can't be anything else, just be kind.

Me neither. Never have. Don’t believe in karma. It’s up there with ghosts and star signs for me.

Although, like religion, if people get comfort from it then good on them x

The latter is a little harder to achieve unfortunately.

Well said, kindness is something many talk about it but only show it when it suits them.

Hope you are ok OP

Some 'horrible' people are really suffering but the people who witter on about being kind never are to them. They are only ever 'kind' to their pals.

(Generic comment, not aimed at you OP x)

Very true. Just look at the people getting rich out of others misery during this pandemic.

Most of them were probably getting rich at the expense of others beforehand

Karma, you reap what you sow, what goes round comes round etc. All these things boil down to one basic, of you're good you'll be rewarded and if you're not bad things will happen to you.

That's blatantly and demonstrably untrue in many cases although I'm sure we can all come up with examples of divine retribution.

I prefer to think of it in terms of one's "self" and the effect one's action has on that. How you are with other people tends to reflect back on you in their reactions and this will impact on how you feel about yourself. I don't believe there's a divine accounts book with vengeance waiting to be dished out by the universe.

No, I don't believe in divine retribution either but I do believe that if you give out crap then you really shouldn't be surprised when you get crap back.

We are all different though, every single one of us.

We all react differently to different people too and some people just don't get along and that's ok. Personalities clash.

There's just no need for unkind words which are often said in anger/spite/hurt/retaliation.

So many people are screaming into the wind and becoming more and more frustrated that they just don't see the bigger picture.

And there's not enough kindness in the world.

Why be harsh and nasty, it is a lot less effort and a hell of a lot more enjoyable to bring smiles and joy x
