Sitting watching Top of the Pops. Brings back great memories.

Could you imagine a world without music?

I’ve bad news - music is the next thing to be banned / shutdown for COVID. Experts think the virus pores are transmitted by sound waves.

No I couldn’t imagine a world without rhythm and saying they don’t make music like they used to is a sign of getting old

Me too. Rushing in weekly to sit down with my sister and see who would get number 1.

There and to the left a bit

A world without music would be awful - it has had such an influence on my life, it's lifted me, made me laugh, made me cry, given me such highs and introduced me to wonderful people I wouldn't otherwise have met.

I enjoy watching the old TOTP with mixed feelings, as they do remind me of times gone by and songs I'd forgotten, but at the same time most of the songs on there I'd forgotten I'd have preferred to remain forgotten!! As an example I watched and old episode from the 80s a few years ago and whilst it had Madness and The Specials etc on (music I still listen to regularly to this day) it also had Daytrip To Bangor and something by The Nolans (both of which I had wiped from my memory banks till then)

Music is magical. I work with people who have dementia and you have no idea the power of music. I seen some wonderful things due to music.

I can well imagine. I know the effect it has on me, and I don't have any illnesses.

i'm a musician so i agree that music is hugely important and life would be pretty dull without it.

lot's of people get to a point where they believe that there no good new music being made or that the new stuff is no where near as good as the old stuff. the truth is that without the influence of there school friends for example, they closed their ears to new music to concentrate on other things in life and time stood still for the music that they enjoyed so much which is a terrible shame in my opinion.

maybe we need a New Music Club on fab so the new stuff gets exposure

.Yes totally understand what you mean. There is some extremely good new music out there too. That's fantastic you're a musician, I really wish I hadn't given up the piano. It must be awesome to be able to play an instrument well.

to be honest just jamming with others whilst barely being able to play an instrument is highly rewarding also.

give it a go, you may surprise yourself
