Can we change this thread to ,next time im paying for someone who knows how to do things today we started the decorating in our sons room,and mark changed the light fitting , i had turned the wrong switch off so he got an electric shock then when he came off the step ladders he stood on a plaster board nail and spent the last 2 hours at the local drop in centre can you buy bubble wrap suits,thinking of getting him one for fathers day

A few years ago, I bought my own tool box and thought I can do this 'man malarkey' And thought a simple job of bleeding my radiators would be really simple! Well, I bled them (ish) just to realise my whole central heating had just cut off! So I will admit a few tears later and a desperate plea on here and someone saved my bacon, from now on? I'm not touching a bloody thing without adult supervision!

Yesterday, I unblocked my elderly neighbours drains, sorted my bathroom basin which was draining slowly and fitted a piece of glass and rehung a door on a greenhouse for previously mentioned next door neighbour.

When removing a wall and door, moving the door frame and building a new partition wall, i miscalculated and positioned the frame about 4mm too far to one side

I once put a curtain pole up with no more nails...worked n all i was well chuffed.

About 2 am tho it fell down frightened the life out of me and took half the plaster with it.

I then had to ask the ex to come fix it and had left my phone in the bedroom...it was during our awkward just split stage...and i wondered why he stormed out...he had read my phone n realised i had him under wanker.

My dad couldn't find a motorcycle/sidecar that was big enough to get 4 kids in! So he decided to build his own, and he did, and he made a really good job of it.

Only problem with it was he build it in the sitting room. Worse still was that we lived on the 3rd floor of a block of flats!

He was furious when he realised he couldn't get it out of the flat

He had to take it all apart and rebuild it in the street.
