Yup. Messy, stressy December lead to way too much boozing. Happy to try things a little cleaner for a few weeks. We’ll see if it holds

I can easily give up alcohol I'm a social drinker so the current situation makes it a doddle.

No plans to socialise till spring when hopefully we're allowed again.

it's ok. it's far easier than one would first think. the question is, what will you do with all the money you will save?

I've never understood these dry months. Is it really that much of a challenge?

For some people I'd say that yes it's definitely a huge challenge and for others not so much or even not at all.

I very rarely drink, so it's something I do most years

I'm not tee total, but having a drink or not doesn't bother me either way

Nope. Isnt a challenge to me as I do this most months anyway. Its would be more challenging for me to have a drink every day or even every weekend day, but that ain't happening.

I keep drinking to nights out and nights in, and there hasn't been much of that this year...

As I rarely drink, I have decided to give up something else instead.

Hi lovely.

I’m enjoying the New Years weekend then starting on Monday - also with a diet and exercise regime which will, hopefully, see me losing a couple of stones by June (that’s my target anyway).

It won’t be very easy as I already walk a lot and eat fairly healthily - but I intend to give it a good try!

This will be easy for me as I don't drink at home, unless I'm having a BBQ & I don't think I'll be having many of those this month. Lol

Life lead me to a point where I did a dry day! That was 545 (18 months) ago.

Never looked back life’s still as much fun if not better ! Good luck everyone

By January I'm usually craving some goodness and don't even want to look at any more chocolate or booze after xmas/New Year excess so it happens pretty naturally.

Its a no from me, it's also not good for your body. Best to cut down and miss a few days here and there. Rather than not having any and then smashing back into it in Feb.

Chams or Socials

I’ve done it twice now. Planned to do it again this year but will be home schooling. My sanity is more important. I’ll aim for February & see how it goes

I've been sober nearly two years now. The first two weekends were tough and it was easy after that.

I still drool occasionally when walking past the booze isle but apart from that i don't miss alcohol at all.

I don't booze that much in the house so wouldn't really make much of a difference.
