I find posh accents can be very sexy, on both men and women as long as it's not an Etonion type one lol. I really like Irish and Northern Irish accents too. Any accent can be sexy though and I wouldn't want to make anyone feel bad.

What about women ( or men) that don't have a particular accent as such? I've been told I sound a bit posh by Northerners but Southerners say I sound Northern usually. Some people would say I'm a hybrid. I don't have a sexy voice unfortunately.

Eton (Tom Hiddleston [Loki]), Winchester College (Rishi Sunak), Harrow (Benedict Cumberbatch)

I'm genuinely curious as to why Eton was singled out in terms of accent and perhaps perception as well.

Well I'm mostly referring to a few politicians ( they haven't necessarily gone to Eton) where their accent seems made up and over the top. It's probably because I don't think very highly of what they're saying.

Depends on where I go I’ve been told I sound like a posh scouser or I sound Welsh as I’m right on the borders of Wales

Posh Scouser? Interesting. There you go Red...perhaps that's what they meant for you as well.

I'd like to think so, Miles. Happy to be called posh Scouse haha. Happy with Cheshire/Chester/North Wales. There's definitely a touch of Scouse there, but not the full on grating accent.

North Wales?...hmm....Very different from Chester.

Not really Half of Chester is in north Wales my house is less than a mile away

Oh, believe me, it is very different. My parents have a house near Llangollen, a mere 15 miles or so away from Chester and I can tell you, it's a World away in terms of accents and language.

what ever mate my wife’s from Manchester and her parents say I sound a bit Welsh I’m not saying it’s a strong welsh accent who really cares anyway "

Fair enough.

"I find posh accents can be very sexy, on both men and women as long as it's not an Etonion type one lol.

May I ask what is an Etonian type please and how is it different from the posh you're speaking of?

Well I'm mostly referring to a few politicians ( they haven't necessarily gone to Eton) where their accent seems made up and over the top. It's probably because I don't think very highly of what they're saying.

Poor old Eton gets the blame."

Does it? Why? Full of posh actors?

If people only knew how many 'football mums' are turning up at Eton now, you'd have a very different perception of it.

"Scotland Newcastle Liverpool

All are sexy when women speak in them.

I honestly find it weird that guys like the Scouse accent - I hate it! Maybe because I hear it every day? X are you joking, I think it's sexy as ffk

Well not so much up way north, as I can't understand them that well lol

I hear and work with scousers and find the scouse accent very grating it’s a horrible accent

Hear, hear!

You need to move, my dear .

Not all of the Wirral have a scouse accent and hardly anyone in Chester has one either but I work in Ellesmere Port and it’s full of wanna be scousers

No, I'm fine on the Wirral. Though when I travel I'm told I sound Scouse. Upsets me greatly

Depends on where I go I’ve been told I sound like a posh scouser or I sound Welsh as I’m right on the borders of Wales

Posh Scouser? Interesting. There you go Red...perhaps that's what they meant for you as well.

Llangollen is further in, it's headed away from the border, the accents change rapidly in and around the borders. Wrexham there is definite scouse undertones, the Welsh is very drawn

My family come from Hawarden and Flint, first language Welsh no scouse undertones there because it's headed away from the border

My Welsh accent is pretty strong despite living across the border, still have the Flint lilt.

And that is the thing with Welsh it changes rapidly from region to region, North to South

The further
