I love a roast, particularly lamb and duck, but any roast is good. However I’m on fish and chips today - Friday tradition still survives

I did a roast chicken with a lemon inside, roasted it upside down so the breast stayed moist. Threw in some small potatoes to roast in the same tray as they soak up some if the juices whilst there cooking. Accompanied by olive oil roasted carrots, beetroot and red onion flavoured with garlic. Also brussel sprouts with crisp fried smoked bacon & pine nuts. All washed down with a few glasses of red wine, then finished off the meal with an espresso coffee and a small brandy.

What roast did you have Grumpy?

We had roast chicken leftovers with mash, cauliflower cheese, pork sage and onion stuffing, roasted carrots, Brussels, sweetcorn, Yorkshire puddings and mustard gravy

I'm so stuffed!

But I made a strawberry jam steamed pudding earlier for dessert.

We might die
