After an ill advised comment from my wife I appear to have shaved my chest this morning for the first time in about 15 years. Now my shirt is making every inch of skin feel weird and making my belly look like a pudgy teenager instead of an almost rugged man.

Been there and done that. I now only go so far as a close trim, mainly when I am off on holiday so I can get a more unimpeded tan. It definitely looks better with a tan, but I prefer being more hirsute for sure. Although I did find the feel of clothes against my freshly shaved skin strangely erotic.

Have a look at body trimmers mate rather than a razor if that’s what you done ? A nice hot shower to soften the hairs before helps, I think I got a body trimmer for like £30 from Asda and it’s lasted a good we while and use it regularly

You gave it a try, nothing wrong with that as it'll grow back (though might itch for a bit).

I don't think I could do it as I'm fairly hairy everywhere, so it'd leave a big empty spot. I'd have to shave all over, which would be a never ending job.

A quick trim up is all I do.

I find a grade 4 on the clippers is just right to keep chest hair looking neat.

Same on lower arms

Fully shave top of arms, back and shoulders and balls

Tried shaving and the itching drove me mad. Close clipping would be the way to go. But right now I am rocking the chest rug.

moisturise and exfoliate for the next few day . Leave the hair alone in future

I had my chest shaved last year... for an operation. The slow regrowth process was extremely irritating. Don't do it unless you want to shave frequently and stay smooth!

The big issue for me is that a shaven chest without a shaven is juts plain weird, right? Back, sack and crack has to come first..?

TBH I'm trying to build my pecs and she said they'd look better without the chest hair. I think she's technically correct but never again! It'll grow back!

Trimming is the least painful process, but if you are going to smooth it up...moisturise and exfoliate as a post process as already suggested.

I used to hair remover but you need to take care using that too, but the regrowth is far less irritating. Waxing gives best results, but it hurts like hell and you want someone else doing it.

I prefer trimmed nowadays personally.

Haha yeah, hair remover works great for the bum, but I wouldn't recommended elsewhere and personally I wouldn't put clippers anywhere near anything delicate :D

Legs are best shaven if you are doing them. I don't smooth up too often either, it can damage your skin but people have different sensitivity levels.

Hairy chest here.

I've got no inclination to ever shave it although as I've hit middle age it's starting to get a bit long so I may start trimming it a little bit.

I do love the feel of a woman's fingers running through it as well.
