She was in hospital for the entire day so we've both been exhausted but she asked to stay up and watch the fireworks. I've never cared for new years eve but for tonight I could see my mum forget herself for a few minutes and appreciate the moment as if she was a child again. It's bittersweet but I'll never forget this day x | |||
