Hi All

Apologies if this has been posted before, I have messaged site admin before and was redirected to a FAQ section but could not see an answer.

Basically, messages sent and received and show that I have been in contact with others fabbers in the contact section however the messages are missing entirely from my inbox can see what I have sent in my sent folder but not what was sent to myself by them and sometimes what I’ve sent and what they have sent has been completely deleted, and not in the sense of they have deleted a message I’ve sent them, I understand the difference between they’ve deleted your message as opposed to your messages are deleted completely from the server. Anyone else have this issue?

I ain't too sure what you mean but messages do get deleted over time. They have a shelf life shall we say.

This profile was stagnant for almost 2 years and almost all of the messages that were there previously had gone.

As Princess Peach said messages are routinely cleared from the server after a certain period of time to cut down on server space - if you have messages you want to keep then use the "Save Message" function to put them in a saved folder which will retain them.

Or alternately some people use the "Private Notes" function to copy/paste messages to so you can revisit.

Cool thanks for the info. Strange though as I have some messages going back 2years that haven’t been erased and others that have just randomly disappeared, the other users I had the chat with are still on the site and I’m not blocked from messaging them or anything.
