When you wonder why you're here?

On the whole Fab has been great.

Then I received a message tonight which left me reaching for the wine and wondering why I do this... I know I shouldn't let one spoil it for the rest but still...

It's probably been widely debated on here but why do people think they can be so abusive sat behind a screen?

Yeah I've had the same today, my confidence was knocked over a certain message. Can't let the bad ones spoil your experience, I'm here for the good people, great chats and forum banter. The good outways the bad

Okay so I had a wobble a couple of days back. General abuse in a post and absolute vile messages sent to me from a few. I received some very supportive messages and that’s why I am still here.

The bottom line is any form of social media has created key board warriors who think it is acceptable to say things that, if like to think, what not say it to someone’s face. I was always told someone who is a bully or someone who sits behind a keyboard is the person with the problem and probably live a very sad and lonely life.

Does it make it easier. Hell no

Does it hurt. Hell yes

However, there are people here who are genuine, the last few days have shown me that. So block the abusers and laugh at them

I don't think there's ever an excuse to be abusive to people. Brush it off, the opinion of strangers isn't important... except for me of course

We all experience this here in some way shape or form. Fortunately while the bad might outnumber the good, the good ones are out there and make even the baddest worth enduring on the road to finding them.

Why people feel the need to be rude is beyond me. It does sound like a lucky escape for you though.

I just don’t get why people get off on being rude and nasty to each other, even people they have just photos to look at! If someone isn’t interested suck it up, say thanks and move on. We’re not everyone’s cup of tea

Its attention? Im guessing a lot of people feel shit about themselves lately, and savaging someone else makes them feel better. Sad state of affairs really.

Brush it off, block and move on. Some people are Billy big balls behind a screen and wouldn't have the guts to say it in real life. Ignore them, says more about them than it does you xx

I love the block button. It's not quite the same as what I imagine my fist in his face would be like but it's quick so that will do.

Thats not the same as someone being outrightly nasty to you for no reason. Being disregarded isnt nice granted but they’ll have their reasons for not replying to you.

Yeah, quite right. Sorry, poorly expressed. I'm not equating the two experiences - I totally respect people's right to ignore me. Being mean is never deserved.
