In the murkier parts of the internet I often see people putting up pics for others to deep fake. Very sinister what they can potentially do.

Yep, very unnerving. Particularly as they could've made it completely real if they used a better voice actress, but deliberately didn't so people wouldn't be completely fooled.

Yes, especially as the software to do this is now readily available.

You can make anyone appear to say anything. I think that people will just lose all faith in anything they see or hear in the media.

Yeah or someone will ask if someone can deepfake a relative or crush. I could imagine it could get even worse than that.
