Where do you buy stockings?

Deviant City

Just wondered, where do others buy their stockings?

I have usually bought cheap ones from the supermarket or ebay or occasionally from Ann Summers but on Saturday, I bought some from Next (ok, still not expensive but I'm on a tight budget, lol). These hold ups from Next are the best I've ever bough, fantastic quality, so silky smooth and stay up (had them on all day, they haven't budged once).

So wanted to know if there are any other stockings out there that are good quality that anyone can recommend as there was only 2 choices in my local Next store.

M&S hold ups stay up through anything. Anything....

I also get some from Ebay that would have stayed on for a week if I'd needed them to. Extra long too, for my lanky frame.

Will try M&S as some of you have suggested. I used to struggle getting any to fit my tree trunk thighs, even the plus size but just lost 3 stone and trying to loose more. Primark ones wont go past my calves, lol! Such small sizes in there!

Thanks for your replies ladies

I always buy Jasper Conran ones from Debenhams. Even though they are £12 a pair, they last for ages, always stay up and don't slip and I find they are cheaper in the long term than buying loads of pairs of cheap stockings.

Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound

I haven't found a pair of hold ups that don't leave me with an itchy red rash.

Stockings from different ranges, depending on the finish I want, so it's John Lewis or Fenwicks for me. I have found that the cheaper ones are only good for one wear as slubs appear. Better to spend a couple of pounds more and get more wear from them.

I bought one from there but it was only 7.5 straps - one was attached inside out.

Great to see a forum about stockings, I love them and fear it is a dying fashion to wear them. To know that women are keeping up the tradition makes me very happy.

As mentioned on this thread, stockingshq seems to be a great site.

Is it just me or are these really difficult to get done up? I get six done up fine but struggle with the last two. I need someone to dress me.

I struggle with doing up 2 suzzies on each leg, never mind 8

Stocking HQ is great, thanks all who have recommended. Think I'll stick to cheaper stockings for one offs and pay a little extra for special occasions or if used more than once.

"primark!"

I know plenty of women that swear by the primark stockings, some prefer to shop budget stylee where as some wear designer only, other than those stockings.

One friend buys the tights just to rip out the arse in them to look like slutty like stockings, they do look bloody good too.

"primark!"

I got a pair of holdups there and they were lovely. Very long and reached right to the top of my legs which others do not usually do and stayed put.

Went back for more.

Find stocking and suspenders more comfy as a rule though.

"M&S for Hold Ups for sarah"

We went to local M&S last week and they didnhave Sarahs size in stock.. Didn't want to run the risk of them not restocking before we head north next week for social @ Cupids so ordered 2 pairs online..

Citylink turned up only couple days later to deliver but as no one home they wouldn't leave them - surely 2 pairs hold ups would go thru the letter box
