Am thinking of setting the hot tub up but wondering if it's worth it at this time of year?

North Devon

I shut mine down just before Christmas as the leccy bill was through the roof and it just wasn't getting used much.

I don't mind the cold but it's not a great place to be when it's raining.

I dont have a choice with mine, its outside and in the ground next to the swimming pool.. That said you get too hot after a while and sit on the edge, so you don't tend to mind how cold it is outside.

Yup still using ours at least 2 or 3 nights a week. Especially on a clear night, the view of the night sky is awesome. The naked dash to the backdoor in the freezing cold when you get out is not so awesome

We wouldn't mind getting in one, but would hate getting out of it. -3 deg is a bit chilly for the old willy and all that.

Easy enough to make, get a couple of solar panels and batteries for the pump to give bubbles.. Use the wood to heat and naturally circulate the water. Make sure the tub is well insulated though, as the water cools off quickly if its not..
