Nope, not from Fab anyway.

A face pic is important to me as I like to know who I'm potentially meeting.

I'll usually ask at some point along the way if they don't send one.

We met in a public place, both had chatted lots on the phone and said what vehicles we were driving, what we are wearing etc.

He recognised me as I drove in to car park and he made his way over to my car to say hello. I recognised his voice and we chatted and the rest is private

Lots of times! And met even more that have never seen a picture of me! The actual biggest disappointments have been not looking like their picture to be honest! But for me aesthetics is the smallest part of attraction ... it really is intelligence, humour and personality (laughter always wins). Obviously physical attraction has to be there but the rest is way more important and much more difficult to find!!!

Between Chichester and Havant

Yes, many times.

Used to happen a lot before the internet took off. If there was a photo, it tended to be a grainy black and white one in a contact magazine. It was never a problem, always met socially first anyway so if someone didn't like someone it never went any further than a social.

I tend to do the same now. It's not always how someone looks, it's about how they interact with me.

Seeing a face pic before a meeting has never bothered me, because of the interaction we would have before meeting, social or otherwise. The only time it could be a problem is not recognising someone when you do meet, but usually we recognise each other.

Can't say that I have but then all but one of my meets have been with women I've been chatting to for a couple of months at least so the natural progression at that stage is to exchange face pics if we hadn't already done so.

Even on the one occasion I met someone after just a couple of days we exchanged pics but once she got what she was looking she thanked me and then blocked me the next day apparently out of embarrassment.

I totally agree with you people write a person off sometimes and don't give them a chance to find out about who they are and what kind of personality they have and that is a really sad fact of today because we have so many ways to send a picture, that peoples personality doesn't stand a chance sadly these days, there would be a lot less single people if we learned about someone first, rather than picture drop and block like some of us we tend to do these days.

Yes I have not done it for a while as people are more insistent on a face picture than actually wanting to chat and get to know you more first and sadly it's like that these days as sending a face picture is more likely to get you blocked than a meet up for a coffee.

Way back in the days of contact magazines (pre internet for our younger readers!) we had a letter from a couple who were about 15 years older than us. I wrote back asking for pictures before we met and received a second letter full of abuse and demanding to know "who do you think you are!" etc.

On CL I used to do it all the time (for a social meet), and did it a handful of times on here when I first joined (for socials).

The percentage of good meets were probably pretty much the same as ones where I'd seen a face pic tbh.

Thing is, for most of us this is just a casual/one off encounter. Scintillating conversation, sparkling wit, kind to animals is not a prerequisite to meeting.

Do they meet my individual definition of phoar? Are they able to say "hi" without their eyes coming out on stalks when they see my cleavage? They're not surrounded by a swarm of bluebottles: pretty much it for me.

Partners and friends are "judged" differently.

Yes... done it like 3-4 times. Was only pleasantly surprised like twice (but then again they sent me body pics only and they were fit)

One even asked to keep a mask on so I never got to see his face but had a ripped body and big cock so.

the other two times I was repulsed. But I didn’t see any pic or maybe just a dick pic...

One was even quite fat and greasy looking. Had to leave

Reason why I don’t do these type of meets anymore

(Sometimes I do consider if I just see the body and it’s a good looking body then i might say yes without seeing the face . But it’s the only option now)

Here and There

I’ve never met anyone without seeing their pics. Since joining FAB I’ve learned that I’m not attracted to very many people though. Even if someone looks nice in their picture, their walk might put me off. Or their hands, or how they talk. Or any number of other things (I wish it wasn’t like this, I annoy myself) So when I was meeting, pre Covid I used to just go to a party and see if there was anyone there I took a shine to. Saved any awkwardness.
