Not sure if this is the right place to post this topic...

I'm thinking of getting the snip and I'm wondering if there are any guys or couples out there who can share their experiences on this and how it effected sexual performance...

Don't worry..it doesn't affect your performance ... you'll be healed in a couple of weeks ...

Well worth doing. Simple, fast recovery.

Not sure why it would effect sexual performance either good or bad?

I had mine done.

Didn't change my performance in any way and didn't really hurt either, just felt tender and ached for about a week after.

I think the horror stories you hear are from the old intrusive 'scalpel' method where they cut you open and removed a section of 'sperm tubes' (can't remember the medical term sorry), but they mostly use a newer 'no scalpel' method in the UK now, where they numb your nuts with some form of liquid anesthetic, then make a tiny puncture hole, then use a tiny tool to heat up and seal the tubes. It's really quick and just felt like an injection.

For me the worst bits for me were that they were a bit rough with my balls and squeezed them a bit too tight, and also accidentally touched the tool against my leg, giving me a slight burn.

Good idea to wear tight supporting underwear after though as they will ache if swinging about.

Yep to all of this!

"Sperm tubes" = vas deferens or just "vas" for short.

The liquid anaesthetic is local anaesthetic lidocaine injections, same as you get at the dentist.

Sorry about your burn though! Clumsy surgeon!

'vas', yes, thank you!

I did know, but couldn't remember. I'm still suffering from last night. I think I made up for all the nights I've missed going out drinking this year

Had mine done a year or so ago, the injection to numb it really hurt, but ok from there...

Had it done 20 years ago. Quick simple procedure, in and out within an hour. Felt a bit numb for a few days. Actually it increased my libido as I was not worried about getting anyone pregnant!

Shouldn't be mate.

It felt so liberating afterwards and knowing that it freed my (now ex) wife from the horrid effects of the pill was great.

they won't chop your willy off ...the incisions are tiny and it's a lot less invasive than the female version
