Well this is strange, normally I’d be down the pub with friends I’ve not seen for a while enjoying a lot of drinks...

Now I’m at home and no idea what to do with myself... am on my own to so have no one to annoy!

This is my first Christmas alone and normally I’d be in the pub with friends but that’s out the window.

Idle hands....need to do something, any ideas?

I’m on my own too. Kids at their Dads tonight so it’s me & red wine tonight for company..

On a plus point I don’t have to wait until ridiculous middle of the night o’clock to put the presents under the tree & I don’t then get woken up at 6am!

They’re back for Xmas dinner so I figure I’m winning and enjoying the peace & quiet.

Merry Xmas to you! X

I've only ever got the wee bottles before but I remember my daddy making them for my mummy. What goes in?

Oddly enough this is the 1st year I'm on my own in over 20 years. I was so bored sat in the house on my own I decided to come and lay down in the back of my van. I've got the heating on and a TV in here, change of scenery for an hour while I ponder life at this weird time hhaha.

I will be my own this year too and have decided to treat tomorrow like any other day.

Will get up and have breakfast, do a bit of house work, cook some sort of chicken or beef roast and chill out in front of the TV.

It’s definitely a lot more sedate than previous years but it’s nice to feel organised and have time to relax. And not having to worry about d*unk teenagers coming home at 4am and being a mess on Christmas Day is a relief. Last year we had one child coming in from clubbing as one was getting up for their stocking!

Merry Christmas to you all.

Lou x

Yes Christmas Eve alone this year. First one I haven’t been to the pub or club for many a year. Maybe some distractions on here to make my evening go with a bang.

somewhere, someplace

Kids are asleep and I'm sat here on my own, first time in 16 years, it's quiet and a bit strange, I'm not used to it

This reminds me of me... one year my best mate ruined Christmas by knocking the tree over as we got in at god knows what hour

We tried to be good and quiet... but the tree just fell over, then we laughed as tried to put it back together
