I was asked this earlier and actually, it made a fair amount of sense.

On the thread, answer your favourite: colour, animal and water (example, ice, ocean etc)

Give a deep reason for each.

I'll tell you what it depicts later.

Here are my answers.

Colour: black.

Reason: it's the "normal" colour at funerals. It depicts respect and people coming together to show their respect.

It was an expression as a teen when sombre, misunderstood, hurting.

Animal: Dog

Reason: the bond you can make with them as a human is exceptional. The love they give is unconditional. Having a dog come and sit with you is a beautiful thing, it's chosen you as its safe place. It trusts you.

Water: ice.

Reason: skating. The freedom of being on the ice is a wonderful thing. Feeling the breeze you yourself are creating by your movements is lush.

Also, Ice hockey was a huge part of my life for a good few years and it helped me be who I am today. Taught me teamwork, leadership, and taking orders even when I didn't understand why I was doing the things I was doing, I knew there was a reason that would become clear if I trusted my coach.

Colour: Purple.

Cos it comes in many different shades, all of em make me happy

Animal: Dogs.

No competition for me. The most pure, loyal and loving creatures on the planet. I love them all too much

Water: Ocean.

I love to be near the ocean. Always have, always will. Beaches, boat trips, the lot! I just feel peaceful when I'm near the ocean.

There and to the left a bit

Colour: Blue

Reason: Has been the most constant colour in my life - from one of the colours of the team I support, to clothes choices and associated with the Navy (which though my career was so short you'd miss it if you blinked was a big influence on my life and thinking)

Animal: Orangutan

Reason: Such wonderful creatures, that I can watch for hours and genetically similar to us humans

Water: Boiling

Reason: Can't have a brew without it

Colour Red

It is so vibrant, so passionate and I associate it with happy times.

Animal / Pet

Dog, such great companions, loving and faithful. Also my labrador is probably the best piece of exercise equipment I've ever acquired. Always happy to see me, cheers me up.

Water

Ice, because of great memories of ice skating. I was getting quite good at figure skating till I buggered up my knee. And yes, do love those skating dresses.

Colour- white, it just suits me and i enjoy the contrast it makes with any other colour.

Especially white lingerie on women.

Animal- elephant, amazing beasts.

So beautiful and relaxed.

Never rush to do anything and never forget stuff either.

Water- I dunno really.... rain, it’s great for making things grow and pretty amazing how it just keeps getting recycled.

Brown, mostly because of muched loved pieces of clothing, my favourite coat is very (Tom Baker) Doctor Who. My favourite hoodie is a brown Pixies, fav trainers etc etc. I think the world is a better place with more brown corduroy in it too.

Cat because they're so independent and fucking great at getting rid of mice.

Fizzy because bubbles and because other than tea it's my go to soft drink.

Blue, it’s the most calming colour and I feel most comfortable wearing it, think it suits me the most. Also, all the best music came from the blues.

Honey Badger/ meerkat. Undecided, the honey badger is the most bad ass animal going for it’s size, it’s highly intelligent and Pugnacious, it also doesn’t give a shit, will stand up to anyone, including a pride of lions.

Meerkats, I probably Identify more with meerkats, they work together, look after each other’s pups, they have gangs, plus they look cute when they’re checking if the coast is clear.

Boiling water, simply cause it makes my favourite drink, tea.

Wirral.

Colour - Green. Nature, ethereal, calming. My happy place is to be sat in a forest and one of my favourite scents is lime.

Animal - Red Panda. Cute, fluffy yet ferocious when riled.

Water - Natural pool. Gentle, without current. Pleasing to swim or bathe or just languish in.

Gapping Fanny

Colour - Blue.

It was my “house” colour in junior school and the first time I “belonged” to something and felt part of a team. I am loyal... that or obsessed!

Animal - Wolf

Snakeyes had one.

I am also a bit of a lone wolf, happier on my own that with others for the most part.

Water - Glacial stream

Pure potable water combined with the soothing sound of running water.

Colour yellow.

Was my mums favourite colour and makes me smile when I see it, it’s become my trademark a little too now as a lot of my things are yellow.

Animal.

Dog because mine makes me smile so much he’s such a important part of my family

Water.

River/canal - the best parts of my childhood were spent when we were out on our riverboat, I love how peaceful it is and would happily live on a boat

Colour - Blue, because of all the shades, I know this can be said of any colour, but I like all shades of blue.

Animal/Pet - Dogs, because there's a great bond to be had, as I am sure with any animal I suppose, but in my experience dogs seem very intelligent.

Water - Flowing water, whether a babbling stream or a fast paced river, as it is relaxing to watch and listen to.

On a mooch

Colour - Purple in all its tones, it can be dark and moody but also bright and uplifting.

Animal - Dolphin, that family unit of the sea, they are smart, protective, have fun and always seem to be smiling.

Water - Lake. I don’t like big expanses of water like the ocean so for me a lake is a perfect compromise, you can see the shoreline, it’s normally peacefully quiet and calm in its waters.

Kent

Colour - Kawasaki Green

Reason - The team green Kawasaki’s were a huge inspiration to me when younger. Whenever I see the colour I’m instantly trans back in time with memories of an exiting youth full of dreams and anticipation.

Animal - Fox

Reason - beautiful to look at with their brown to orange fur with the white tipped tail. Cunning and clever they see you long before you see them.

Water - flowing stream.

Reason - the gentle pace never changes. In summer it looks cool and inviting then in winter alluring to walk on that thin ice...the stream calls you what ever the season.

Colour, purple.

It's rich and deep, sexy, sensual.

Animal, otter

Cute, clever, resourceful and playful, they float with their babies and hold onto each other, use stones to smash open clams etc for food, and are playful in the water or out of it.

Water, sea

Soothing and vast, reminds of me of small some things are. The sound is relaxing but at any time the sea can be wild and dangerous.

Colour: yellow. It's a very cheering colour, in spring the first flowers I see from my window are primrose and yellow crocus (why do the yellow always flower before the purple?). It's not a colour I wear (except for citrine jewellery) but it is a colour I love to see.

Animal: Sea otter. They're just so damn photogenic! Playful, intelligent, by nature solitary but capable of socialising.

Water: Sea. I like moving water, I like to watch the tide ebb and flow. It's lovely to paddle in the sea and to watch the waves crash in windy weather.

So for those of you who I haven't got back to, I'll let you work it out for yourselves to some degree.

The colour is your personality. Not the actual colour but your reasoning behind it.

So for me and mine it depicts respect, coming together as a unit with others and expressing myself through visual means.

Your animal is your perfect partner, again not the actual animal but the why.

So for me someone who chooses me rather than needs me, someone who I have a bond so deep it feels like it can never be broken.

The water, well, that's sex.

Yep, I mentioned feeling the breeze you're creating by your own movements as lush. And yeah it's true, I love the freedom of masturbating however the fuck I want

I also mentioned teamwork, leadership and taking orders from someone I trust.

So... how accurate is yours?

Orange... so many things I love are orange (sunsets, autumn), and it’s such an upbeat happy colour

Dog... I’m a huge animal lover, but as wonderful as all the others are, I’ve never bonded with an animal in the same way as with a dog. The connection, the humour, the joy.

Liquid... the sound, the sparkling appearance, the cleansing nature, whether a shower, a cold drink, a swim...

Colour Blue: it’s the main colour of my GAA club at home and my main county GAA colour. Blue skies mean great summer weather and clear skies and happiness, travel, energy, excitement, and adventurousness alongside the feeling of being in wide open spades. Also combined with white can mean nice summer wispy clouds and white is the other GAA colours of club and county too. Blue is also the colour of the ocean and I love traveling to places along the coast no matter where in the world - also a freedom thing. I love the blues music. I’ve gone through lots of periods of depression (blue) so even this this isn’t a happy thing for me it is highly significant for me. My eyes are bright light blue and in gold my eyes are one of my most attractive features showing a kindness trait.

Animal - Dog: I just feel it’s much easier to connect with dogs than cats for example. They seem so friendly and loyal and there is a kind of a simplicity to them in the nicest sense of the word simplicity. I can imagine a dog would be a great companion for a single guy who really is kind of an introvert who likes his own company. If I ever get my own place that is.

Water - The Ocean. Link to my colour favourite which is blue. That feeling you get walking along a beach in blazing sun and looking out at the vast open ocean. Nothing is closing in on you - it’s the opposite of claustrophobia. Potential for everything in front of you. Taking in deep breaths and paddling in the water as the sun goes down and you look towards the mountains or cliffs in the distance. Getting in for a swim where there are strong currents and you realise the sheer power of the waves coming at you and you know that if you’re not careful then you’re fucked. The exhilaration of it knowing that there is some danger there that you can’t completely control and there is the risk and the fear and the adrenaline. Going rafting or canoeing or jet skiing. You get the drift. The freedom, the risk and chances you take and the power making you seem so much less significant of a being in its presence.

Colour; green. Don’t really know why, but in a group of friends that would associate with blues and reds, I always kind of gravitated towards something different. I’m also at peace in the wide open countryside

Animal; platypus. Again, couldn’t tell you why other than to say anthropological it makes no sense at all. For that alone it has my vote

Water; the sea. I can answer this. I was born by the sea, and every time I’ve moved away, I always find myself missing the sea, and the winds of my home. They are just a part of me now, and I can’t ever imagine me leaving again.

Colour depends on my mood. I’ll go with Rainbow then I can pick from the best of the bunch but I swing (pardon the pun) towards blues and greens.

Favourite animal is Chimpanzee because they’re so clever and fascinating to watch.

I like my water hot in a nice bath. It’s like a warm hug and the bath is my thinking space and my “zen” zone.

Wonder what this tells about me? Probably that I’m nuts.

Animal: Elephant

Reason: Just such an intelligent and social animal. Protective, compassionate and strong.

Water: Sea

Reason: I love boating and the sea is always a challenge. It has to be respected or it will hit you hard. It's also a wilderness, fearsome yet incredibly beautiful at the same time even when at its worst.

Green: Its the colour of life, from the Amazonian rain forest canopy to the hedge rows and fields of the UK it signifies new growth and new beginnings...

Kangaroos: I used to have these buggers hopping over my front lawn, when I emigrated to Oz they were the first magical thing I saw that let me know I truly had moved the other side of the world...

Rain: Although snow brings out my inner child when I see big flakes falling the sound of rain on a window pain I find totally relaxing.

In Perth it doesn't really rain between mid to end of October until the end of February or March. Endless days of sunshine sounds idyllic but with temperatures hitting 45°+ and sometimes not bellow 35° at night you soon miss it.

I sometimes used to put on my lawn reticulation (sprinklers) on a timer at night. With the house air conditioning on I'd fall asleep listening to a chorus of motorbike frogs and crickets amidst the trance inducing backdrop of water sprays hitting my thirsty lawn
