Regarding all the singles on this thread bemoaning not sex, throughout the crisis the law has quite purposefully always allowed a route for singles to get together and to prevent them effectively being placed in solitary house arrest. While we wouldn't advocate bed hopping it's perfectly legal for 2 people to look after their mental health (or, in the case of younger people, progress the route towards procreation) by finding a partner and starting a relationship, just a bit more difficult than usual!

If anyone wants to know more about how they can actually get together with a potential partner then they should search legislation coronavirus 2020, read the relevant bits and follow the law, rather than looking at any online advice or asking us.

Anyone suffering loneliness should take positive action to resolve the problem. There are many mental health resources to help with this if you feel constrained by the advice from actually taking the obvious escape from loneliness ie to find someone to be with. The really good news is that if you can make that leap it will potentially also lead to loads of fantastic sex as well!

i know this came from a good place but its so far removed from the reality of being single and trying to find someone during a pandemic

your only options really is online , the apps are full of horny wanking zombies that haven’t been able to get laid in a year and want to offer you “a cuddle”

if you manage to find a decent one you have to try keep up interesting conversation when your life is depressing and your routine ground hog day ... only so many times you can say how was your day , yeah great i worked then was on the couch with netflix thanks

if you make it past that hurdle its on to zoom dates and trying to mask the fact its been so long since you got to a hairdresser that you have accidentally become a catfish with roots down to their ears

yay! they think beauty is on the inside and don’t seem psycho.... time to meet in person (but inly if the live in your local area as travel is banned) ... oh and you are meeting in the park , in the rain , with your hood up , mask on and hands in pockets to keep warm (and even this is a thorough bending of the rules) , and social distance doesn’t really lend itself to getting a little close and flirty and building chemistry

and if you manage to build something out of all that crap you are meant to jump into some sort of bubble level commitment which for most would mean giving up any existing family or friend support bubble you already have, on the off chance that this fledgling romance goes somewhere

imagine all that and then the sex was crap

Very occassionally with my housemate, but my sex drive has gone from mega high borderline addict, to next to none.
