I think it ranges from not a lot to not at all. Certainly not as much as it others the ladies about their own bodies in most cases I would say.

The gent either fancies you or he doesn't. That is based on more than just a single area of the body in most cases.

I’m 52 and no, guys aren’t bothered about a ‘mum tum’ or a big butt. Meet guys who want you for who you are not what you think they want.

When it’s allowed, have a social meet. You’ll soon find the ones where you ‘click’ and you’ll hopefully have some great times. I’ve had Fab friends for years who’ve seen me at my best and worst.

This sort of thread crops up regularly, and my response is generally the same.

We all see our own "flaws" (inverted commas, because actually it's not a flaw) as if there is a magnifying glass and spotlight on them.

However, the reality is that most people just see a complete person, and don't even notice those not quite perfect bits.

You're a real life person, having led a real life. You're not photoshopped or cosmetically enhanced.

Real life leaves some traces, they are to be embraced, it's what makes you unique.

I wouldn't say it's a uniquely female thing, but you are much tougher on yourselves than blokes are.

I often contrast the "mirror moment" for blokes and ladies.

When a lady looks in the mirror, they will inevitably tut, and focus on an errant bulge or whatever.

Generally, a bloke will suck his stomach in and think "looking good"...

Seriously. Women put more pressure on each other than men do to look perfect. Unless you look like Steve buschemi or have the personality of Katie Hopkins guys don't generally care.

We get portrayed as being out looking for the most beautiful woman in the club when most would probably prefer an intelligent woman or someone who can make us laugh or who we can have a great convo with.

I promise you none of us are looking at your mum tum.

It's not whether there's a mum tum or not, take pride in it. Everyone has their preferences and they can make their choice about it from the onset.

For me, that's my preference. It has no bearing on what I find sexy, it's 'the woman'. Everything comes with 'the woman' and is sexy if she feels it.

I am going to try to answer without offending anyone but that seems tricky.

By 'mum tum' if you mean scars or stretch marks they are part of your story, they will always be so if someone doesn't like it you don't want to be with them.

If you mean a little insolation, lots of us have that and some will prefer it and others won't. I think the person attached is more important but others may differ.

Sometimes imperfection can sap confidence and prevent us from doing things. Embrace things you can't or don't want to change and go for it!
