Having visited Malta many years ago,We didn't realise it was unacceptable to sunbathe topless, and did so both at the pool and beaches as did others. Is this something that still exists today? It's a destination we were considering returning to for a holiday but obviously don't want to find ourselves in trouble or disregard laws and customs!

If you and others were doing it, how was it unacceptable?

We just go to nudist places if we can.

It’s not legal even if there are some places where people do!

It’s not exactly renowned for its beaches. Only a small handful and most of those are stoney gravely beaches. No topless females I’m afraid. Even if a guy is caught walking around the street with his top off it’s a €40 fine.

Beefybanger, i did mot know where you get the information from. I know no one who was fined €40 who was not wearing a top, but then is quite depends where you decide to bare your chest. Doing so at a seaside resort is fine, but hardly acceptable in the city. Topless is also illegal, for the very same reasons, but the practice is becoming more acceptable. There are a number of place, some a little Secluded from family spots, which are perfectly fine for this

I went to Gozo with a girl years ago, spent the week sunbathing and fucking around what we thought was our private pool, it was only when I caught our neighbour staring from a balcony did I realise how wrong we were!
