...just seen a new thread 'Someone else's parcel', now forgive me but are there starting to be too many of these types of threads?

I can understand someone looking for feedback or advice on some things, others sharing music likes, quiz's & pandemics. But amazon making an incorrect delivery!!!

Maybe it's me & someone was just looking to see what kind of humorous responses they'd get, I don't know!!! Anyone else think it's me or is it a valid thread?

Did you just start a thread complaining about pointless threads?

I think on a public forum anything goes and the people will decide whether it's a goer or not.

There and to the left a bit

Everything you need to know is in the title you chose for this thread OP - there are plenty of threads that don't interest me in the slightest, many of them that I personally don't think have a place here but I just scroll past them figuring they were important enough in the eyes of the poster

"Valid thread asking for advice as I don't have the details to forward it on, thanks for asking everyone else about it, it must of interested you!"

It wasn't personal, I was just pointing out the number of these types threads there seem to be on this site lately! Same as stuff like 'what shall I have for dinner'?

You are in the lounge though, where anything goes, maybe you might find more interesting or more to your taste threads in the swingers section.

I think it already feels like people are holding back on starting threads or commenting just now, for fear of getting shot down or ignored. I'd personally much rather there were loads of chats going on re whatever, then just skip the ones I'm not interested in, than it being too quiet

I like a bit of normal conversation... Makes a nice change from usual fab guff... Maybe I should start a new thread about how much tea my massive Darth Vader mug holds and how often I manage to finish the whole thing, before it gets too cool

I like the variety of threads to be honest, an Amazon cock up, vacuum cleaners, tow bars etc are far more interesting to me than the ‘tell me how lovely my cock is’ or ‘all women and couples are horrid because one of them said no’ threads.

Variety is the spice of life.

Every thread has a place on the forums unless obviously it is clearly against site rules.

Some interest me and some don't, Some I find insensitive or a piss take but nether the less they have a place and everyone has a voice and place on the forums.

I agree too because Iv seen far too many people comment on threads recently suggesting people should leave if they don't like it or that they shouldn't have started a post.

Who decides whether a thread is 'valid' or not? It is all open to individual preferences.

As long as a thread conforms to forum rules then all threads are valid surely

The guy wanted advice, nothing wrong with that. If you don't like a thread you can always move along if it's not for you

Nobody wants a temperature differential whilst drinking a hot beverage ... Its why I decided a stove top espresso maker with tiny cups was the way to go

I managed about four fifths of my cuppa before I got sidetracked long enough for it to get too cold... Pretty good considering the size of the cup and my rubbishness

People are lonely OP. Unfortunately social distancing is very real and isolating for many of us.

There's so many threads encouraging single people to talk and seek social interactions on here, that inboxes are always open for a natter etc. How about we practice what we preach hmm?

I had some right fun on 'silly' threads.

We're in the lounge right?

Talk about anything in the lounge.

What hand you wipe yer arse with (I prefer loo roll)

What make of vacuum

Carpet or laminate?

Any old topic is welcome in the lounge as long as it's legal, including amazon deliveries. Made a change from length or girth.

Hopefully the thread hasn't caused too much offence or upset, certainly wasn't started to do so.

Yep as I said earlier I forget at times it's a general anything goes forum, love all the comments & humour.

I too held back from thread starting again, mine, the few before, did fall flat on their face & then I thought why not try again? Look what happened!!!!

Me thinks maybe a better subject next time though! I shall endeavour to behave better & not upset on the normal matters, the food stuffs & whimsical! If not then you can spank me?

Now I'm just wondering did Candy get her veggie sausage and mash?

Did Develish sort the parcel?

Did everyone else get their drinks at the right temperature?

Totally get & agree with what Amber said.

And Princess, definitely loo roll, a Dyson, both rugs & laminate, you're right it does make a change from length or girth!

Thank you all for the comments, views, feed back or whatever you want to call it. Twaz good.

Now do I stay on board a little longer or take my meds & go read in bed? Choices, choices, choices!

I don't think anyone really got upset or got offended tbh.

Don't let it put you off, after all, it got conversations going and that is part of the point of the lounge, and something we all need whilst locked down
