Becausethenight just posted about Adam Levine covering Purple Rain and he was so right that it's worth a watch - https://youtu.be/8w2lNpixqOc

Ages ago on here someone recommended Paulo Nutini's Iron Sky to me too and totally changed my opinion of him - https://youtu.be/ELKbtFljucQ

Who do you think needs more recognition for their talent? Ideally post a link to back it up so we can all go check it out please !

Not an under rated artist, but a twist on a classic. This is what you get when you play Dolly Parton at the wrong speed - goosebumps.

Maldon

Steve Harley. Been around for almost fifty years. Many great albums and fantastic ’live’. Either with the band or an acoustic set.

Mainly known for his one big hit though.

OP i would like to recommend

my favourite cover ever is from Sandy Thom song November Rain from Guns And Roses . When i listen this cover i feel almost stopped in time absorbing all that surrounds me , i close my eyes and i levitate my all energy in her voice and the lyrics of this song.

Is just so powerful and intimate feel

Hope you will enjoy this cover much as i do OP

There and to the left a bit

Always thought Madness were that band that did Baggy Trousers, Night Boat To Cairo and other hits accompanied by funny videos?

Listen to this 9 minute 42 second journey around London and think again

You are going to absolutely hate me for this ha! I liked that and I do think Madness are awesome, but I couldn't stop myself picturing Sacha Baron Cohen and Helena Bonham Carter singing that

Bearing in mind this was unrehearsed (you can see him looking at the words), he hits some notes that had the hairs on my arms standing up

Helps that he's pretty easy on the eye too of course

No hating here Although my brow is furrowed as to why those two sprang to mind?

I've also seen the band perform that live a number of times (including once with a full orchestra) and they completely nail it

Haha, so true, but will have some new music to listen to in future while getting stuff done so all good

Not sure if this goes in with suggestions previous, but definitely a talented man nonetheless

My god, he's delicious isn't he?! I went to a wee piano bar like that in New York once and it was all struggling Broadway performers between jobs. I've never been so awed in my life. Just sat with my chin on the floor, trying not to cry all night! I'd chop off an arm to go the South by Southwest festival, or the non-touristy parts of Nashville, as I think I'd just have that feeling the whole time.

(I'm also a big First Aid Kit fan, cracking choices !)

I don't think Catnapp will be to everyones taste but, for me, they evoke memories of hedonistic summer nights in Berlin staying out far too late and rolling back to the apartment in time for breakfast

Not sure what the biggest revelation was to me, his voice or the fact he has a wife

This is a duet they did together the same night he did the Celine Dion song

All over the place! Northwesr, , Southwest

I think that classic KISS is often looked over or ridiculed because of their makeup and act. They put out some great, catchy songs and at their peak served as the live act most 80's hair metal bands would emulate. Their playing live was unlike anything else.

James Blake - written & produced some of the most genre defining, high quality music there is. Wrote & produced for Beyonce, Kendrick Lamar, Frank Ocean & countless others. Everything he touches turns to gold & his dexterity to be able to turn his hand to any genre is incredible
