Apart from the kid Tierney you bought from the Team I support . For a steal I may add. There's no one else playing for the shirt IMO

It’s absolutely awful. Leno, Tierney, Gabriel and Partey are the only ones worth keeping. Genuinely piss poor and I was buzzing about this season

If you look at there performances properly then you will see they are not kicking the ball into the net.

It's that simple

couple, us we him her.

Problem is these days is most players are there for the money more than anything else.

They need to be proud to put on a teams shirt and understand it's history and culture.

The Arsenal have been one of the most consistent and successful clubs for the last century with a proud history.

I doubt many of the player's actually give a crap who they play for as long as they get 100k a week plus they will just turn up and kick it round a bit.

I do, partially, agree with this however there is not a single pro playing in the premier league now that isn’t ultra competitive. Money doesn’t change that for most

But, regardless of how well they play they still get payed sometimes even when things are going bad they need to dig in and fight for a win, but if you don't care about who you are playing for chances are that you may turn up and run up and down but as soon as you have left the pitch thoughts turn to expensive watches and lingerie models.

Very few players seem to be accountable for bad performances the manager gets the sack because of lazy players.

Anyway that's enough from me I gave up with football about 15 years ago .

1st I’d like to thank you for Tierney, the boy is an absolute beast. As for being underwhelming, end of last year we looked decent. Won the fa cup, beat Liverpool, beat city and beat Chelsea whilst seeming to have an identity. This season has been turgid. I said further down the thread that maybe lots of the players aren’t “his” and that maybe with a couple of windows and excluding COVID times he could well be the man

Don't get me started

Still think Arteta shouldn't be sacked but he needs to be more daring with his XI!

A few more youngsters who actually put in a shift and want to play some football as opposed to the lads who aren't up for it

Major overhaul of players needed

Out: Mustafi, Kolasinac, Bellerin, Sokratis, Xhaka, Elneny, Lacazette? Ozil if he isn't playing

Need to start playing the likes of Nelson, Smith Rowe, Saliba & Balogun

Willian & Cedric are strange signings that shouldn't have been made

Ideal team to look like:

Leno,

AMN, Saliba, Gabriel, Tierney

Partey ????

???

Pepe, Auba, Saka

Alex, Mari, Luiz, Chambers, Holding, Ceballos, ESR, Nelson, Balogun, Nketiah, Martinelli!

Possible players in include Buendia, Aouar and Édouard

I'd even take a half decent bid for Auba if we got one!

Onwards and upwards, keep the faith and we'll eventually come good.. I hope

Lots of work to do, in training, Behind the scenes, transfers, and mainly on the pitch!

Rant over

Arsenal spent 70mil on Pepe and wonder why they're not scoring goals. They should've got a much better winger at that price.

Plus the whole situation with ozil isn't helping. The midfield is atrocious.

20mil too much for Pepe imo. The bloke that signed off on that deal has left the club under a cloud. Özil needs to fuck off. I wouldn't even pay 30 mil for a winger of his calibre. He'd proven nothing to achieve a high price tag to his name prior to joining arsenal. Look at Diogo Jota, what a bargain he was AND he was great at wolves!

"Too early for arteta?

I think he has got the makings of a very good manager but this is a very big 1st job.

Possibly, but the the club is a shambles at board level. Very high turnover of staff in the last 18 months above him so it’s very tricky to tell

I think managers often benefit from cutting their teeth at a lower league club

The pressure at a big club is immense

Yeah absolutely. It was a massive risk appointing him. Needs time. This season is by no means unsalvagable however

The thing is when you are at a big club you dont get given that time.

Trying to think of a young manager who has made it at a big club.

Not a single one!!!"

I'm biased but dalglish,

31 I think when we took.over..double in his 1st year and another 2 titles and an fa cup..could easily have had 4 doubles in 5 years.

"Crap as usual... remember when selling Highbury was the answer... barren few years but would reap the rewards at the Emerites... all complete bollocks... sold down the road years ago

Not Artheta or Wengers. Fault

All the clubs owners imho"

The key is getting that structure in place where you have the relationship between the owners ,the scouting system and the manager.
