Favourite scene.

Cartman : [to Kyle] Don't call me fat, you fucking Jew!

Mr. Garrison : Eric, did you just say the F-word?

Cartman : Jew?

Kyle : No, he's talking about "fuck". You can't say "fuck" in school, you fucking fat ass!

Mr. Garrison : Kyle!

Cartman : Why the fuck not?

Mr. Garrison : Eric!

Stan : Dude, you just said "fuck" again!

Mr. Garrison : Stanley!

Kenny : Fuck!

Mr. Garrison : Kenny!

Cartman : What's the big deal? It doesn't hurt anybody. Fuck-fuckety-fuck-fuck-fuck.

Mr. Garrison : [angrily] How would you like to go see the school counselor?

Cartman : How would you like to suck my balls?

[the whole class gasps]

Mr. Garrison : [furiously] What did you say?

Cartman : I'm sorry, I'm sorry. Actually, what I said was...

[Cartman picks up a megaphone]

Cartman : HOW WOULD YOU LIKE TO SUCK MY BALLS, MR. GARRISON?

Merseyside, Lancashire & Cheshire

Cinematography, Music, Plot, Dialogue, Acting and... Message or Moral. Few modern films have them. The 20 best films, imho, which have stood the test of time...

in no particular order

1. The Third Man (1949)

Harry Lime: "Would you really feel any pity if one of those dots stopped moving forever? If I offered you twenty thousand pounds for every dot that stopped, would you really, old man, tell me to keep my money, or would you calculate how many dots you could afford to spare? Free of income tax, old man. Free of income tax!"

[confession: I had a right horny girlfriend, and we did the Third Man trail in Vienna a few years ago. Great Fun. Great City. Sadly she's passed on now. Fond memories, Gaynor darling...Sleep well (^_-) ]

"Cinematography, Music, Plot, Dialogue, Acting and...

Fond memories, Gaynor darling...Sleep well (^_-) ]"

The third man is a great film.

True story. We like to think we're "the good guys", but war is hell...

Morant: "It's a new kind of war, George. A new war for a new century. I suppose this is the first time the enemy hasn't been in uniform. They're farmers. They come from small villages, and they shoot at us from behind walls and from farmhouses. Some of them are women, some of them are children..."

Re: Casablanca, here are the plots that can be traced back in some shape or form to Aristotle in ancient Greece.

1. Cinderella. Rick, an expat Yank bar-owner in wartime Morocco, begins as a d*unken cynic but his 'essential goodness' is at last celebrated.

2. Achilles. Like the Greek warrior, the proud, 'fatally flawed' Rick - once a doer of great deeds - spends most of the story sulking in his tent. He is forced into selfless action only for the sake of the refugee Elsa, the woman he loves.

3. Faust. Rick's good looks, fame and wealth are Faustian and gratuitous. Inevitably, Rick's debt is called in and he gives up his business, his girl and everything he has lived for.

4. Tristan. Manly Rick (Tristan) loves and is loved by sultry Elsa (Isolde) but she is already married to wimpish Victor Lazlo (King Mark).

5. Circe, or 'The Spider and the Fly.' Elsa's wiles entice Rick into her service only to destroy him.

6. Romeo and Juliet. Once, in Paris, Rick and Elsa loved and lost each other. Here, in Morocco, they get back together but are finally parted again.

7. In a concrete sense the 'Gift Taken Away' plot is a Letter of Transit which would enable Rick to go back to America but which he is forced to give up to Lazlo. More symbolically, the gift is of personal happiness and is sacrificed to political necessity, since to save Lazlo is to save the world for democracy.

Some have identified a further two standard plots in Casablanca:-

8. 'The Irrepressible Hero' is Rick personified.

There is also a ninth archetypical story-line, 'The Wandering Jew.' Rick is, of course, the persecuted traveller who will never return home.

Thus, instead of seven, (or eight or nine...) stories, there is only one, and it is called Casablanca !

Yes it's a great film, not sure if it would get made today very intense tho, even in black and white you can still feel the searing heat of the sun as he is forced over and over again.

Jaws - saw it as a kid, it scared me (even Quint character scared me as much as the shark) excited me and in the end I had a thrill ride of emotions, over that film.

I have three film posters up in my front room.

Jaws
