Is it true that Japan renamed towns to names like Scotland and Sheffield so they could legitimately say "made in", probably 80s xenophobic propaganda but you never know!

OK for the doubters here

A Suntory Whisky HIBIKI 30 Years empty bottle is worth about 250 to 300€ that's how good some Japanese whiskeys are,,

Actually I'd rank, most of their off the shelf stuff better than a J Walker any day of the week.

Oh dear. I only puked on my mother's carpet as a youngster - we bought our own poison! Our son had a party while we were on holiday (against our wishes) - the main victim was our front gate where one of his friends had failed epically in reverse parking

Survived the holiday. Came home to spotless cleaning (too clean) and a broken front gatepost. Party evidence could not be covered up.

Whisky (whiskey) is a conversation. I am very passionate about whisky, love the aromas, the colour of the liquid and the taste.

I can tell you that whisky will do one of two things - it will either evoke a memory or create a memory. It is a complex experience given the basic ingredients. It is probably the most wonderful drink in the world.

Ahh now you’ve got me started.

Up on them there hills

Old friend, who was a whiskey enthusiast, pointed out in a discussion that Japanese whiskey had won the top award, in the world, for a number of years

His glugging whiskey was Laphoraig.
