God yes. Takes me back a bit. I think they were £5. Which was too expensive for me.

(I used to buy a yellow coloured newspaper for £1 I think. (Can't remember the name. But it contained everything. From car sales, clothing sales, then right at the back, lonely heart adverts. That's how sad I was and still am lol. But met a few wonderful couples.

Used to subscribe to one , I think it was called Matchmaker, in the 90’s. Had a few hookups off it.

Probably too many to mention and my memory isn't the best these days. Rendezvous was a well known one.

I remember Stiletto Heel which was a mainly a TV/TS inspired one. Numerous others Bored Housewifes being another.

Matchmaker was a interesting one as it started of as just a pen pal mag but somehow ended up a adult/swinger one.

It was based in Chorley and became very popular, I had some great meets from it.

When I first stared out back in my late teens early twenties there was a little corner shop that sold quite a few of these booklet sized magazines. They were full of grainy b/W photographs with a PO Box number. You wrote a letter to the object of your desire and then put that envelop in another envelope and sent that off to the magazine who forwarded it. You could get “direct” magazines too where people included their landline telephone number...

I remember Rendezvous and Golden Circle and there was a fetish one but I can’t remember that one.

Thank evolution for the internet!!

Yes, used them with a girlfriend to set up MMF threesomes in early 1990s. They had a very cumbersome and slow process of making contact. It was before email. You had to write to the advertiser via the magazine first. They would forward the letter and then you had to hope the reply you got included their address so you could write direct. Otherwise you had to keep using the magazine as a forwarding agent. It took us 6 months to set up our first threesome. And subsequent to that 3 or 4 months to set up others. Our enthusiasm dwindled after that. How much better it is these days with the Internet, email and many swingers clubs. The main mag we used was Rendezvous.

I used to buy an A5 glossy mag called Forum. Haven't seen it in newsagents for years now though.

I liked the photos which were often fetish based, and erotic stories section. It did have a contacts section in the back but I wasn't in a position in my life at that time to pursue using those!

In Rendezvous common terms were ac/dc, long stayer and quick repeater, vwe. It’s just different terms now

This it was the first magazine that I found with crossdressing stories within. I haven’t seen it in years either but I very rarely look at the top shelf anymore

Somewhere In The Ether…

I remember them well

As a kid, I’d often find them dumped in lay-bys along with porn mags (‘twas my hobby to search for them).

Like a sexual yellow pages they were although there must have often been problems at the printers, as the pages in them would frequently be stuck together.....

North Norfolk area

Used to find them left on trains back in the 80's. There was a whole stable of them..... Rendezvous, Vibrations, Exclusive, Silk Swingers....seem to recall Experience was all the ads from all of them collected together. Used that one a few times, first 3sum off of it

Loot was the yellow paper with contact section in the back of it (think there was a pink version of it too).

If you successfully made contact those days, you'd be fairly sure it would be genuine.... Happy days!

I bought and perused several of them in my late teens...however, most of the people I eneded up meeting just turned out to be sex-workers who wanted money for their services!! So I didn't bother.
