"Clear skies + northern England + December = no fucking chance, unfortunately. Enjoy!" Same here in Derby I'm afraid

"Oops sorry, didn't mean to upset you! Though I much prefer to be here than there..." Oh, there's no upset! Just a desire to not be in rainy and grey northern England

"I understand that well enough! And you speak Spanish? Wish I could!" I do indeed I'm sure you could learn!

"Where did you learn it? I speak a little, but living in an expat community, English is the common language, and I'm forgetting what little I learnt at night school!" Started at school but my formative education happened where I think you are now (the Guardamar area). Venture into the non expat bits and you'll learn. I had to help my parents translate when their holiday villa was being finished - I'd been learning at school for a year or so and suddenly I was ordering furniture, translating forms and phoning builders.

"Yes, I'm five mins away from Guardamar in La Marina. Dealing with Spanish trades people sounds like a great way to improve your language skills! Do your parents still have their place over here, and do you come out much? I'm outside again now and have seen several more meteors, including one fireball which was quite a sight! Getting cold now though, so I'm going inside and thence to bed to get warm... Thank you for your company! Derek xx" No they don't anymore. Sad really but family circumstances meant they couldn't go as often as they hoped latterly. We try to holiday in Spain every year, but 2020 has defeated us unfortunately. Buenas noches Derek!
