If you don’t know what one is this thread isn’t for you.

I have two adorable cute ‘monsters’ who currently like playing in the Xmas tree.

Sadly mine both passed a couple of years ago... miss them both dearly.

Cicumstances mean its not sensible to adopt more right now (moving house), but definitely intend to get more fur kids at some point.

Do you let them in the bedroom at night? I sometimes do but end up roasting and pinned down. Also, a lot of farting and snoring occurs and it isn't all me

No they are not allowed upstairs at night they have their own beds downstairs.

Otherwise they spend the entire night laying as close as possible and purring loudly all night then wake around 4 am demanding food.

They lay on chest or shoulder if laying on side.

Then press their little noses as close as possible to ours.

They are a pain but life without them would be awful.

My mother recently died and the female cat knew something was wrong and wouldn't leave me alone for a minute.

Then a few days later I came down with covid and was very very unwell she was my little guardian angel and looked after me the whole time hardly leaving me, especially on the day I thought it was my last she kept nudging me and purring in my face every time I slipped out of consciousness.

Like she was telling me not to give up.

I know people don't like cat's but they really are special creatures who can be so so loving.

A box at end of your bed

I love cats had 2 one pedigree Maine coon and a tabby house cat i rescued from the cat shelter as a kitten, she died of old age after living with me for 15 year. My Maine coon had to be put to sleep because of a health problem needless to say I was devastated i lost both within a month.

Have another cat now I feel my house is not a home without a cat in it.

I have a 15 year old cat, Chloe who has arthritis. Just bought an aerobic step thing so she can jump on to the sofa from the floor. The bitch refuses to use it.

Dogs have owners, cats have staff.

There will be something she isn’t happy with the aerobic step accessory.....

Same here, first time in nearly 60 years I haven't had cats or a dog in my life. Hope to in the future but all subject to health. Do have neighbourhood cat visitors occasionally, they walk in as if they own the place, inspect everything & sometimes have a cuddle! Kinda makes my day when they do.

I'm Dad to 12 feral cats that I look after and feed at work. I've made them all homes that are thermally lined and waterproof.

In the days before I managed to neuter them I've had upto 22 adults and adopted with the help of local vets 18 over a 4yr period

There use to be many old warehouses in SE London & so many ferals.

Unfortunately many with cat flu which to see is upsetting, especially with kittens.

I use to help a friend's daughter, a veterinary nurse, put out cage traps & collect them when caught. They'd neuter & de-flea them back at the vets, give them a few good meals then a day or so later if all OK release them back where they were caught. Unfortunately there'd be some with serious health issues who had to be put down but only if they were beyond saving, not for the sake of it. Very sad but it helped stop the spread of anything to the other mogs.
