i have known this happen with guys.they ask to meet, meaby expecting me to say no,however if i say yes am up for that, and then give details they then get nervous, and make up all the excuses under the sun that all of a sudden cant meet. Do all guys think they are gunna get a no? So when am up for a meet they panic?

Do you send pics or talk about sex? Some men just want a wank and have no intention of meeting.

Don't take it personally. X

Honestly OP, if I’m at the stage of asking for a meet I’ve gotten to know someone and I’m expecting a yes!

I know it happens But I have no idea why anyone would back out of a meet they have arranged, especially as lots of guys complain how hard to get a meet it is!

Sadly it happens, not just men, although it seems mostly.

Perhaps it's the whole Charlie large potatoes thing. Combined with the fact they're used to being turned down. And just bottle it. Its happened even after weeks of talking, planning etc. No great loss tbh, they're just an addition to our already amazing sex life. We can be a bit intimidating because we are so into each other. Not something we desperately need.

Think anyone is allowed to have a change of heart whatever their reasons, so long as they let you know in good time then while it may be disappointing its not the end of the world.

It's the ones that say nothing and leave people hanging I don't get.

Fully sympathise with that and if I like someone enough to meet them I'm happy to rearrange. I do get a lot of cancellations who then become very vague when you try to rearrange though.

No massive deal, just one of those peculiarities of fab - it doesn't happen anything like as frequently on hookup sites or dating sites.

I'm glad you said that.

I'd been nervous for weeks before a meet with a couple in my city. Chatted for months. Spent ages preparing myself. Ordered the cab on the night, thought I'd message while in the cab to say 'on my way'.......and I'd been blocked.

Never felt so disheartened.

Don't let people like that affect your confidence. Perhaps they got cold feet and didn't dare admit it. Perhaps it was a dodgy couple and he arranged a meet that she didn't know about. Or they had a row.

Try and see it as a lucky escape. Because it really was. You wouldn't want to meet someone that would do that. X

Yeah I'm not letting it get in way of another potential meet (which is getting rarer and rarer!), and yes I think I did dodge a bullet there because I've seen them in a different light. Xx

Our observations of this site.

Most men here despite their profiles are married/attached. They want a shag, they want it now and they don't care who they shag. It has to be quick and discreet.

Numerous men arrange meets and do not turn up!

No men that fit the criteria that we are looking for are prepared to put in any effort for a long-term friendship with benefits.

Possibly a couple of reasons

1. Can they perform how they say they can?

2. Something valid (it is possible)

3. Apathy

I have managed to arrange one meet, waited and she never showed, excuse given along with apologies. I said not to worry I was okay with it and thereafter I was ignored.

Ever since then nothing not even a nibble

A few years back I cancelled a meet a couple of days before after a family emergency, and all that followed was a torrent of abuse.

Simply not showing up is a shitty thing to do and I've been on the receiving end numerous times, but real life does happen from time to time.

I was part of a couple she wanted to have a threesome with a woman. I was up for it she found someone all plans in place to meet 3 hours before we were all due to meet for a social. My partner at the time backed out saying she didn't want to do it. Couldn't be with a woman. That was 2 years ago she still looks talks sends photos to woman but won't go all the way. It's a shame cos you build it all up to be let down. Keep looking and just enjoy the chatting.

Unfortunately with sites likes this it’s the nature of the beast,

I don’t arrange a meet unless I know I can, have gained a little trust between us and convinced we’re genuine, and there’s attraction there.

Fabs is full of fake profiles and dreamers, both men women and couples can be as bad, the genuine ones are few and far between on here now,
