Anyone else suffer with it?

And do you have any tips or tricks that work and don't involve caffine?

I've just wasted a whole afternoon sleeping.

Have you had CFS diagnosed?

I'm only wondering as being chronically tired can be a pointer for underlying issues, so if it's becoming a noticeable trend, get yourself off down the Docs x

Manchester (she/her)

Not sure if I can link, but Virology Blog (when I google it it's the first one that comes up, the first article is on SARS-CoV-2 in ferrets) has a lot of posts on ME/CFS and the different treatments that people use (and a sense of outrage that people are being ignored and shoddy treatments are being prescribed). It's not something I know a lot about, but I've seen a lot of that content there.

Was diagnosed almost 2 years ago.

I didn't think you were being one at all. You were quite right to put what you did.

Iv found pacing myself and mindfulness very helpful.

I do get frustrated but iv learned to except it and just do what I can, when I can. X

Listen to your body. Rest when you need to.

Don't push yourself and accept that you might not be as able as before. Sign up to ME/CFS Support groups for advice.

You have my sympathy. I completely understand.

It helps to have a good support system around you.

My inbox is open if you want to chat.

I've learnt to live with it as its part of a condition I have

If I feel tired I sleep

Watch my diet, take supplements

I allow myself 'off days' when I just can't function 100%

I'm the same as a few of you above. I pace myself which I have found is the best thing. I accept that I can't do what I used to though I get so frustrated at times.

I'm constantly stuck between 'I can't let this ruin my life and I need to listen to my body'

But I still get caught out and end up on my arse at the most inopportune times.

I also feel like I've been left to it though and wonder if I'm missing something seeing as it was a hell hole getting a diagnosis which they got wrong at first.

What supplements do you take if you don't mind me asking? Feel free to pm if that's better.

I could have wrote this.

It took years to get a diagnosis then was left to deal with it alone.

I'm really lucky that I have D by my side. I wouldn't be here if it wasn't for him. I know people hear me say it alot but he honestly is my hero.

Hey OP. A good friend of mine has this too and swears by a positive mindset. She sleeps when she’s tired- without beating herself up about it- eats what she calls a rainbow diet (include at least four different coloured foods at every meal, does meditation and takes extra vitamins. I can ask her which ones if you’re interested... be kind to yourself

I haven’t got a diagnosis yet, but I have been suffering this for a while. I already take multi vitamins, and try to watch what I do. It’s been that bad I wake up tired. So far all the gp has done is send me for a ecg. He’s blaming my depression and other conditions for it. I thought it was just me going through this x

I had chronic fatigue a few years ago for about 4/5 months. It took a while to discover the problem was very low Vit D levels x

Worth getting checked

I was like this for two years and my GP couldn’t resolve it

I was sent for tests and I have wegeners syndrome, it’s shitty but like the others say once you know the cause it’s manageable

Take care

I had post viral fatigue for a few years after having pneumonia. I know it sounds like the worst suggestion ever when you're completly knackered but excercise really helped me. Also drinking loads of water and trying to maintain consistent blood sugar.

Mine seems to have followed an operation for an ectopic pregnancy where I had to have my tube removed. I never felt like I fully recovered and had a series of things after that didn't help.

My diet is limited because I have ibs so I struggle with that the most and have to supplement. Magnesium helps a lot. I also take iron as my ferritin levels are shot to pieces, though I recently got the numbers up to my surprise.

My vit D, b12 etc are always good. Had various other tests repeatedly and they all come back within range. I'm due to repeat again now.

It's so frustrating. In my mind I'm full of energy. The body is the opposite.
