Iceland, but Aldi is closer..

Had a pet rat when the kids were younger, the kids loved it.

My son would have it sitting asleep on his shoulder while he watched telly.

It unfortunately got meningitis and had to be put to sleep which was really upsetting. It's amazing what great companions they make, they just have a bad reputation.

Come on, the black plague was a long time ago, it was the rats fleas not the rats that caused it. And you cannot hold having fleas against the rats; everyone had fleas back then...

In the immortal words of Elsa, let it go.

i agree rats are great fun used to keep them myself

and just to dispel the myth of the cause of the great bubonic plague (not the current one),

it has been proven that it was not rat fleas that caused the spread it was human fleas that live on clothing.

so nothing to do with rats, they just got the blame for years.

I used to keep rats. Super friendly animals. Now I'm super allergic to them I often had one nestled in my hair around my neck at work (pet shop)

So many people had issues with the tails apparently.
