Somewhere In The Ether…

A quick nosey question: Do you have a tendency for gesticulating with your hands whilst in verbal conversation?

I read about this in the Readers Digest (yes that adult publication) earlier this year & in some countries you have to be careful as some hand gestures can be rude.

Iran and Afghanistan, the thumbs-up is equivalent to the middle finger!

Maybe we should be careful about the..

Somewhere In The Ether…

I knew a lady who did it to such a dramatic extent that one could have been forgiven for assuming she was demonically possessed.

She also loved wearing bangles on her wrists which would subsequently rattle noisily as though some form of musical accompaniment to her conversation

I have to say...

I thought it odd a man starting a thread about the early stages of pregnancy...

Then I realised, that's gestation

Have you ever met a fellow ‘gesticulater’ in conversation?

If so, is it like a competition with each person trying to out show the other?

If I sit on my hands I’m speechless. In fact movement helps me flow. Even when I’m presenting I have to keep moving as my memory appears to be in my muscles. Stop moving and my words don’t flow.
