Cos they don’t want people to see who they’re friends with!

Could be many reasons, a man could state that he is straight yet has many friends who are Male or TV/TS which could imply that he is secretly bi *could* not *is*.

Someone may have had trouble with people being jealous about who they are friends with, people could contact people from your friends list and abuse them or try and put them off meeting you. Someone may not want people to know they’re friend collectors and like to have 100’s or thousands of friends. Someone could have issues with someone keeping tabs on them and get bird hurt when they look at the people they’re friends with.

The list isn’t exhaustive and there’s lots of reasons why people hide their friends list. I don’t hide it, I have less than 20 friends and that’s how it will always be.

If you’re using the mobile app you can’t see the friends list but if you switch to desktop mode (at the very bottom of the homepage) the configuration of the site changes and you can see people’s friends list (unless they have selected the option to hide their friends list).

You can see friends lists on the desktop site if the person hasn’t hidden it. Can’t say I’ve noticed it on the app though

This did happen to me once with the phrase “You’re better than that” needless to say I blocked the person who messaged as they clearly weren’t nice
