"I agree with you guys as well, it's a no for me as well. I think it's unfortunate ppl contact these diseases especially if it's not there fault like cheating partners, a condom slipped or something of the sort. But yea I'm not into risking my sexual health. It makes no sense to have a good body, mind and risk contracting an STD to be honest with you." All sexual contact is risky to an extent though

Not everything has symptoms nor is stopped by condoms

"Had.. Or had had? " Yes the exact wording of the last comment by the OP makes it seem like this is a response to a comment I made on another post. I was responding to someone saying they wouldn't have sex with someone who had ever had an STI at any time in their life. I didn't mean I would sleep with someone who told me they had an active sexually transmitted infection . Not waiting for it to be treated is just foolish.

"Bugger. Forgot the link https://www.tht.org.uk/hiv-and-sexual-health/about-hiv/viral-load-and-being-undetectable (Please Mr/Mrs moderator don’t get rid of the link. If anything you should be promoting the shit out of undetectable and PrEP" Whilst I agree with much of what you've said and it does come down to undeniable facts - there's an element missing from the decision process which may be completely subjective, and that's trust that they actually were on it, and were taking it as prescribed - so my answer would entirely depend on that - if a random person on here told me they were on PrEP it would take me a lot more than a couple of messages and a meet suggestion to agree to have sex with them, certainly unprotected and possibly protected too. Now I *know* that same trust comes into play, or should do, regardless of whether someone is on PrEP or not but it's just another trust factor added into the mix - I also *know* that the risk of HIV transmission through oral is minimal so that would be taken into consideration too but either way it would still come down to weighing up the risks and levels of trust. So the short answer would be "it depends"

"So the short answer would be "it depends"" If I could use a GIF.. *inserts inglorious basterds that’s a bingo GIF* It depends. Is always the right answer. PrEP or HIV undetectability are just for HIV. And although that will eventually wipe out the virus which is fucking awesome, The other stuff is still there. The stuff twill never go away once you have it. The stuff that currently goes away, but once our antibiotics become useless won’t. At no point am I saying we have PrEP for fuck it. Don’t need comdoms now, because you do. Or might. Fill out your little risk assessment each time. Friend who bubbled with you during 2nd (and probably 3rd) lockdown and hasn’t been with anyone else, on PrEP and tested? Sure. Someone you meet in a suana on Vauxhall? Yeah.... about that. Put it on. But I think it’s unfair to say a blanket no if they’re ever had anything in the past because it’s shows they don’t care. Failure is always an option. Mistakes will be make. I once saw Steps live (which I can understand would have a similar response with a blanket ‘no’) it sucked. But don’t judge all my other music taste on a bad choice (twice. Ok. I saw them twice. Two bad choices). People are embarrassed when stuff goes wrong down there. They probably don’t need that embarrassment carrying over like some permanent record. You won’t catch Gonorrhoea off me, why? Because I was 19yo when I had it. I used to and still get tested every 3 months. I booked myself in as soon as symptoms show. I took antibiotics and it was gone too no one week, and refrain from sex for 2 weeks and in fact, I didn’t go out clubbing in that time (london gay scene when you’re 19. It’s a big part of you’re life!) as that was sensible. Now.. If anyone thinks that because of that which happened 16yrs back that they wouldn’t sleep with me, meh. Have a good day. All I would say is, keep an open mind. I not saying fuck every-time bare. Just take facts and evidence to create your own risk assessment. Besides. Some UTIs could be considered as an STI. Sand if we went down there that route too, a lot of ladies would also be ‘unavailable’.
