"In a reflective moment listening to the radio this morning, I found myself pondering something that has me a little puzzled. People speak differently say due to location ie Country (language), area within a Country (accents) etc. But why is it people laugh differently? You get the belly laugh, the titter laugh, the machine gun laugh, the giggle laugh, the braying laugh etc, and this variation can, and does occur even within a family group so it can't be genetic? Why do people have a different laugh?" I'd love to know why we have regional variations on accents as a whole. Always wondered if they were started by someone taking the piss and wanting to annoy someone by talking differently! And why do people always talk to babies in a squeaky voice? Or their dog?!! | |||
