Just watched a bit of old wwe/wwf and gotta say he was one the best and unique wrestlers ever. On a side note most of the wrestlers and commentators on the Ppv are no longer with us

He was a bit before my time but definitely appreciate the charisma all the guys had back then.

Something that's sorely lacking today

Watch Dark side of the ring', I think it's still on All4. One episode is about Randy Savage.

Even if not into wrestling this doc series is really good.

He is arguably the pivotal wrestler in the rise of the WWF - Hogan and Warrior were obviously the poster boys but it was Savage that actually stitched all the storylines together. An absolutely incredible performer.

Dark Side of the Ring is a great series, some moving stories there.

In this house, our faves are Warrior and Taker :D

Probably a little too young to fully appreciate the impact Macho Man, Warrior, and Hogan had in WWF.

I was all about the Attitude era of the late-90’s. So many Monday’s in school I was knackered from watching Sunday night PPV’s. Personal favourite being the Rumble where Austin was involved in a ‘hit & run’, only to return later that night. Great times!

I binged watched both series and to say my heart sank was an understatement.

We see the glitz n glamour, but not the personal torment etc that seemingly goes hand in hand.

The Austin v The Rock feud was in my opinion the best ever.

They were a perfect match of heel/face and the way they worked off eachother in the ring was amazing.

I love the Mania match where they did eachothers finishing moves on eachother.

The crowd hype was amazing. The only other time I've ever seen the crowd 'pop' more was the Monday Night Raw straight after Mania when Daniel Bryan started 'Yes'

Omg the attitude era was amazing. Being at school with your mates and everyone chatting about it or printing off the wrestling results and sharing them during class.

Some great feuds were definitely:

Rock vs Stone cold (I remember rock throwing stone colds belt in the river)

Undertaker vs Kane ( when Kane first appeared at bad blood and ripped the door of the cage)

DX vs Nation of domination (rock came into his own here)

Triple H vs rock (when the rock use to impersonate HHH)

Shawn Michaels vs undertaker (all the times Shawn tried to beat the deadman)

And a classic Stone cold vs Booker T (omg the food store fight lol)

But who could forget a real classic

Stone cold vs Vince McMahon (the bloody walk Vince use to do to the ring lol)

What you guys think??

Easily the worst storyline ever

Comes nowhere near the creative genius that lodged a hand up Mae Young in 1965

At the weekend I binged watched Dark side of the Ring as Russo tried to justify his boxing tournament. All Because he thought Bradshaw was a Bully. It killed the careers (and ratings for a while) of Doctor Death Bart Gunn and a few others. I never really liked Jim Cornett as a character but he really understood what makes wrestling fans tune in.

Russo is a complete dickhead
