We have been messages by a couple for ages and were given a weeks notice to arrange a sitter and they have just let us down. We appreciate that family commitments come first and there are unexpected events but it would be nice to have a little notice and why does it always seem to be the people that message you most that let you down? Sure everyone has had it what was your worst let down excuse we need cheering up xxx

Glad its not just us. Thing was they messaged us 3 times this evening to make sure we had a sitter arranged so we could go to them and then suddenly said can we make it another night ( 1 hour before we were due to leave). Its hard enough to arrange a sitter so to be let down last minute is soooo annoying

3 times? How did he persuade you to give him a third chance?

2nd chance maybe - but 3rd - must have come up with two pretty good excuses!

It happens to everyone. Including me. It hurts...but you have to bounce back because we are all looking for some fun here... And when you do get a good meet - all the agony of the past is forgotten.

We have just had this ourselves we arranged a meet in a club that was local to all of us and messaged day of meet to confirm everything then 2 hours after we were due to meet had a message saying they weren't coming (in case we hadn't guessed by then) could we do the next night instead we agreed then they cancelled the afternoon of the meet telling us how genuine they were and sorry for messing us about. We gave them a final chance on Monday and they did it again 2 hours after due time. We reported them and moved on

Don't understand why people do it.

I always meet socially first, if they cancel a social meet I cut all tired no second chances. If they can't spare an hour for a coffee can't see how they'll cope with half a day.

No good deed goes unpunished...as giving someone the benefit if the doubt THRICE shows.
