Messaging etiquette..

Is it the done thing on here, not to message someone you've already messaged, unless they have already responded to your last message? The site automatically warns you you haven't had a response to your last message, but the odds that it's been noticed among the many that most women seem to get are low.

More than 5 days. I appreciate they may not be interested, and that's fine, but just say so. I'm a big boy, I can take it. I'm just left wondering should I still attempt chat or just assume they don't want further contact? I certainly don't want to be perceived as a pest..

I think if you really like them then try twice. I’m forever bulk deleting coz it just gets ridiculous. I probably miss some lovely ones. If it’s unread I mean, if it’s read then perhaps not.

Best advice: as soon as you send a message, delete it from your "sent" inbox. That way, if you do get a message back, even just "thanks but no, thanks", it would come as a nice surprise.

Also, according to the Fab rules, no reply means "no, thank you". Some people have too many messages to reply to, and some people do not take a "no, thank you" message very well.

I don’t get thousands of messages. Not all women do.

If I don’t reply, it’s a polite ‘thanks but no thanks’

Some women do bulk delete though so try twice if you think it was missed but after that I would leave it

I don't send "blind" messages to people I don't already know or outside the forums, so it's never affected me - but I would think so long as a respectful amount of time has passed (days/weeks/months) then there is no harm with sending a polite follow up, and one that isn't a "you didn't read my last message" kind of thing.

Remember though if they're a site supporter they may be able to see your previous message still.

I'm currently job hunting full time. I apply for dozens of jobs a week and am lucky if I hear back from even one. Sometimes people just don't care about your time or feelings, just the way the world works. Strike them off your list and move on.

I wouldn’t send a second message. If it’s someone you’re messaging first, they’re likely not interested or they’d have replied. If it’s someone you’ve been chatting to they’ll reply if they want to. You shouldn’t have to prompt someone to respond to you or remind them you’re there.

I have on my profile saying I will not respond to shadow pics n a cock pic does nothing so an attached pic is a must

But at the moment I’m sat on 83 unread messages n this cleared out two days ago so it’s hard to say but not necessarily their fault I’m just getting bored of fab n the first message asking to meet to fick, which in normal circumstances would never happen anyway

Tbh the reason I blocked single guys temporarily was that ‘nice’ guys were messaging but I missed the message.

Some messaged again weeks or months later - and some of those I met and had great times with.

Others never messaged again but I noticed months or years later when peeking at their profile - and some of them I had great meets with too!

Some, however, chose to block me instead - so potentially we both missed out on what could’ve been a great meet! X

Sometimes it's about timing, When you send a message, the lady can get 300+ messages pushing yours down the pecking order.

Their inbox easily gets overwhelmed, hence the need for a catchy title to draw their attention.
